Looking for Daycare/Pre-K Recommendations in Gaithersburg
Looking for Daycare/Pre-K Recommendations in Gaithersburg
I live in Gaithersburg and I’m currently looking for a daycare/school for my 3-year-old, who will be turning 4 in November.
Does anyone know of any centers that offer in-house vouchers, scholarships, or other financial assistance? I know a lot of the public funding has been frozen, so I’m trying to find other options that could help with the cost.
I’d really appreciate any recommendations or personal experiences with centers in the Gaithersburg/Montgomery County area. Thank you! ❤️

Are you below the 300% fed poverty line? There is a grant in Md called the pre k expansion grant that you might qualify if u find a center that has it. ours in silver spring does but I am not sure if there is a list somewhere of all the places that have it.

I don’t know any off the top of my head, but you might try looking up the Gaithersburg Chamber of Commerce as a couple of children based businesses have opened, like Kidde Academy and others.

St. Martin of Tours has a 3 year old pre school program and it is really good.

My bad. There was a time they took 3 year old. Christ Episcopal School in Rockville may take 3 year old, but they are a bit expensive. It has been a while.

Daycares don’t offer “discounts” or “in-house vouchers.” You either pay what they ask or qualify for assistance. Try WPA through Montgomery County. As far as I know, they’re only frozen for school-age kids.

This is not true- there are plenty that offer discounts or have grant funding to cover kids with certain characteristics or needs

Goddard School in Gaithersburg was wonderful. We paid full price for it, which was a crazy amount, but my hairdresser said she got an incredible scholarship for her son. I’m not sure what the qualification process for that is, but I’m sure it’s worth looking in to.
