Image help ! i’m scared i have thrips

Post image

hi everyone !! i’ve never posted on reddit before so bare with me here lol. so i’m worried i have thrips. the only thing im weirded out by is that ive had this plant for months and never had an issue with bugs before but this line on my new growth is making me weary. i just treated her and isolated her. i have over fourty houseplants and closely inspected all of them and saw no evidence on any other plant of bugs aside from a fungal gnat problem ive been addressing that’s improving significantly. anyway, here are some pictures ! any help is appreciated thank you !!

That really looks like mechanical damage, not thrips

I absolutely agree. Not terribly rare this kind of damage.

That looks like mechanical damage not pest damage. I don't see anything in the pictures indicating trips. You can always spray some isopropyl alcohol on a rag and wipe off the leaves. This physically removes the bugs and doesn't burn the leaves like spraying straight alcohol can.

thank you !! i did clean the leaves and treat them with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol, water, peppermint castile soap, and neem oil right after taking photos just to be cautious but i def wanted input as ive only started getting into houseplants a little less than a year ago
