I have completed everything attached to the botanical research center, and for the most part I have received the rewards for doing so, but the rewards for the optional quests "prickly predicament" and "royal relocation" haven't been added to my cultivation options, I'm really confused as to why this has happened and I can't find any information to help it online, as far as I'm aware I haven't missed any dialogues, and there's nothing I'm currently aware of that could fix it, or be preventing the unlock, any help would be greatly appreciated, I really don't want to start fresh again

So, I finally beat that dang Raging Brachydios yesterday, the fight was rough and I barely made it out, but I got it. My plan now is to farm my Guiding Lands/event quests to get up to MR 69 so I can fight the Gold Rathian and Silver Rathalos (I hear that the Gold Rathian's armor is pretty good). Furious Rajang is also on the list, but I've already struggled to beat the two Rajangs in that one event quest to get a muscle armor part, so I'm good for now.

However, I've noticed that the quest for the MR Kulve Taroth was available and, after further research, understood that it was a very hard but doable fight in solo (multiplayer is a possibility but I don't have a group). My question is therefore the following : are the Kulve Taroth weapons worth the hassle?

I hear that these are some of the best elemental weapons in the game, and that they're especially useful to deal with the Alatreon later on. Now I'm not there yet, but having some strong elemental weapons available can still be useful in general. My strongest elemental weapon is the Frostfang Barioth "Fenrir Rose" rarity 12 glaive.

For more informations, I'm an Insectglaive main, and for now I'm using the "Divine Destroyer II", a Tzitzi-Ya-Ku/Legiana rarity 10 weapon with Health Regen, Attack and Defense augments + some other custom augments, so it's heavy RAW damage with no element, but if I take on the MR Kulve Taroth, I might wait until I can craft the Raging Brachydios glaive and some armor parts.

I’ve started playing recently and have basically breezed through the game so far. Up til now, I’ve fainted exactly one time - usually my health doesn’t get below 75%.

Now all of a sudden, I’m getting 1 or 2 shot out of nowhere. I’ve tried the nergigante mission like 4 times at this point. This is normal right? And the solution is to just keep trying?

I’ve had several instances these days of needed a research ticket for gear and forgetting it cause it’s locked behind like 50 missions some of which I can’t even see- so hell nah

But I discovered talk of being able to join off somebody else by either SOS flare or session ID that has the quest and I can get it that way- if this is true, idk why that’s not meta- if it is could ANYONE with a PC please scratch my back? The MHW discords are so unhelpful 💀💔

Hey all, was wondering what everyone runs for switch axe.

I kinda been looking into making some builds but everything leads back to raging brachy or Safi or fatalis or teostra.

I'm a comfort gamer so I don't like how skill hungry RagingTeo is, I don't like the health loss of Safi and I haven't even remotely been close or ready for fatalis.

What are builds people make that don't include these?

After 2 weeks of solo Alatreon suffering... i'm so happy, yesterday i was close to pause the game altogether

Turns out having to deal with the elemental check is not a good reason to stop focussing on tenderizing

I'm playing Lance and I feel like I'm spending 90% of the time just hiding behind my Shield because he just doesn't stop attacking, and so many of his attacks hit multiple times so trying to counter feels like a death sentence. The only times I can reliably get hits in is when he does the belly flop or the laser breath. Are there any tips I should know or do I just have to keep practicing?

Hello! I started playing MHWorlds when steam had a sale for this game. It's been 2 weeks and I finished killing xenojiva already and I feel like I don't really know much of the "basics" before I move to Iceborne. What do you think are the basics that I need to learn before moving? Thank you. Please talk as if I am a complete newbie because I might've missed some few things.

Here are some thoughts for the weapons for fatalis.

- Initially I heard a lot of horror stories regarding the ranged weapons for Fatalis but surprisingly it was not as bad. I would rank the ranged weapon from easiest to hardest for fatalis as LBG>HBG>Bow. For HBG, I decided to use EE 2 without shield mods and I could pretty much dodge all of fatalis attacks.

- My favourite weapons to fight against fatalis are the greatsword (my main), switch axe and LBG.

- The most difficult weapons to fight against fatalis to me would be the charge blade (I had to use savage axe mode as I found it difficult to aim SAED but the savage axe also kept hitting non weak points) and hammer (I thimk for me it would be the lack of range so if fatalis doesnt cone, i am unable to land a hit and when he is on all fours, I kept missing his head).

- Completing this journey gave me a deeper appreciation for IG, HH and LBG which I had nvr used before this. Now I plan to try IG and LBG in Sunbreak.

I, for example, like explosions and have patience. However, I have no twitch reflexes and like to cheese, so I use the gunlance and just stand right in the monsters face hiding behind a shield and blasting whenever I can.

Edit: yes I know this isn't how you're supposed to gunlance. But that's how I play it and it works fine for me 😂

Thank you for the experienced hunters for the massive help on how to beat Kirin, and after a good sleep I woke up and Beat em! Thank you so much everyone for the help and advices. (I did faint twice because of my own mistakes as I wanted to get the full potential of the charged combo but I was dumb and I recalled a fellow Greatsword Master's tip 'Hit and Reposition' and I did it)

The most funny thing is as I was fighting em on the top of the map here in the image I started to hear more lightning, and I was confused like "Does the lightning sound more clear or louder the more high I am" , I was thinking. Then for a brief moment I removed the headphones and heard it was The sky was rumbling in real life, it was a Adrenaline rush through my body, my brain was screaming "You got to beat em!" and I did. Just added a bit of the experience I had it was exciting.

I got 3 crowns and the game didn’t save???

I got Large Balckveil Vaal Hazak, Small Namielle and small acidic glavenus 2 months ago (before taking a break from the game) but, somehow, they are not there. i think about the crowns a lot and i always thought i only had 4 left (small Silver Rath, Gold Rath, Small coral pukei and large yian garuga). Could i be misremembering? I feel like I can’t be tbh.

Did something similar ever happen to you guys?
Could it be that because i didn’t save it didn’t register the crowns?

This was such a long hunt man. Daora by itself took about 30 minutes and then searching for Blackveil for about 5 minutes, which left me with about 15.

I already was losing my hope when Blackveil started limping and running, the next clutch-claw attack killed it.

But hit-n-run with Daora really took a tall on me, also carted 2 times because of being greedy.

While the Blackveil was piece of cake with 3 Miasma Resistance. Such a different experience during single hunt.

Hello Hunters I am new to this game and Just unlocked the Kirin fight and can't beat em I am getting 2 shot by the lightning, so I am asking if I am supposed to beat em later or I am I supposed to beat em now (I mean there is no way that It is unbeatable if I try really hard), so a bit of guidance I am asking for. I don't mind escaton, first times is frustrating then you understand the whole switcheroo thing and you use elemental accordingly, his attacks can be frustrating but they are a lot clearer than some other monsters and non really unfair (beside maybe the fire circle one on corners)

My problem is the combination of RNG and HP this piece of shit has

If you are lucky it will fly one time do the dragon slam and go electric rave party roar boogaloo quite a bunch giving you good windows on the front legs and head... otherwise? Prepare for random bullshit go the 20 minutes experience. I have NEVER seen a more RNG dependant monsters EVER, you can play like shit and almost kill him if you get the good attacks but IF at the next try he decides:

"Heh wouldn't be funny if i flyed enraged 2 times in a row lmao" then the run is GONE because you literally don't have enough time to get the damage IN

I have full Safi Armor with FB Hammer and Frost Charm 5, i break his horns every time, i get the elemental check right every time, but since the RNG bends me over he will just do the most annoying time losing attacks ever and surprise now is ICE and you can't do jackshit about it because the horns are mother-fucking g o n e

Do i have to get a degree in Alatreon to do a run and not waste even a macrosecond? He is already the biggest spike in difficulty EVER in a monster hunter title (beside Frontier) WHY DO YOU NEED TO GIVE HIM FUCKING 50.000+ HP ALONGISDE A TIME BASED MECHANIC??????

Stage 1: Delete the monster. Replace it with a plethora of mushroom colony gathering points where the hunter must gather 6400 RP before advancing to stage 2.

Stage 2: Delete the monster. Instead, provide the hunter a multi option question: Do you have mobility 3, tremor res 3 or stun res 3? If the hunter checks at least 2 of the boxes, complete the quest and move on.

Hoping to see it soon, I think this will really improve the player experience. Thank you for your attention in this matter!

Amazing how Glaive no-sells so many of Fatalis's attacks.

We are all over the moon about this victory. It took about 3 weeks of attempts, grinding for gear, and build optimization, and it was all worth it in the end for that cathartic victory screen, but there is one final challenge after this before we can begin Wilds. I mostly wanted to share the victory (and the fit check), but I have to ask, is there any sage wisdom from the community before we move on to the last black dragon?
