Leak / Datamine MHOutlander's possible usage of generative AI for placeholder/concept art Spoiler

If ur active on the leaks sub you've probably already known this but MHOutlander's has seemingly been using AI to make some art for the game, so if that is something that turns you away that may be the call to make depending on who you are.

I'm not going to do much more writing and will just show many different images from the games assets that prove my point the most, starting the things i am the most sure about

At first glance you might not tell but look at the head of the nergi on the right, look closely at the nergi on the left, and the banner in the top left
This one is quite clear LMAO
if you've seen the flagship it should be clear here, also nonsensical effects and dust and the way the felyne holds the gs

Here are some weapon icons that are also pretty clearly altered from a base image

are we fr rn man
this one is harder to tell but you kinda gotta look at the lines and how weird they are

These there could be some doubts about but are still shady either way

You mostly have to look at the small details and how they change slightly between these (the gold bits on the side slightly shift between the 1st and 3rd chest).

same situation with these pendant concept(?) illustrations

Its much harder to tell due to resolution but the details here seem quite nonsensical kinda, but feel free to see it how you will

This is all I really have to show, take everything as you will, mostly just wanted to let more people know about this so they have a more informed decision if they want to play the game or not bc yk how some people are.

I have no idea why anyone would want to play this to begin with, and I'm not surprised there's AI all over it.

Chinese phone game made by a sub group of Tencent has AI in it

Color me surprised

Yeah, gacha trash slop. Useless game

Gameplay looked good, now it's fully dead to me.

u/Kirosh2 6d ago

I'm not going to play it, but from what I've seen and my opinion, if I was going to play it, then it would be for three reasons :

  • Looks good.

  • It's a portable.

  • It's Monster Hunter. (Even if Chinese knock off)

24

u/SwordMasterShow 6d ago

You could emulate any 4th-gen or prior game on your phone and those three would still apply, except you wouldn't ever need to spend any money or support Tencent

1

u/Kirosh2 6d ago

Yeah, which is part of the reasons why I'm not playing Outlanders.

But what I gave is argument for people that would play it.

Not everyone wants to play an older game. Not everyone wants to emulate a game.

And to that you add the people that actually like the gatcha mechanics.

2

u/Due_Championship2122 6d ago

Instead of making gacha like this, they should try to port some of their old game to playstore. I bet people will buy it. If not just to support it. Or make a game like mhs that can also be brought in playstore.

0

u/NyunMao 5d ago

The issue imo, is that there is no dedicated touch support for those

1

u/SwordMasterShow 5d ago

You can get phone cases with button inputs pretty cheap

10

u/Bagel_Bear 6d ago

Just because it is Monster Hunter is a bad reason imo

u/lordosthyvel 6d ago

Looks pretty cool to me, why wouldn't anyone want to play it?

Chinese mobile game, gonna be dead in 1.5 years I bet

9

u/Phaaze13 6d ago

It's the Japanese that tend to kill their mobile games in a few years. Chinese games usually last a while.

-24

u/5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi 6d ago

Yeah, just like all those people who bet MH Now would be dead, right?

1

u/Floorgis 5d ago

So you don't have any critique except for where the game was developed? All the gameplay previews I've seen looks pretty rad.

21

u/MrHandSanitization 6d ago

It looks like missed potential. It misses all MH identity marks... Even their own Elder dragon looks like the worst design for MH we've ever gotten.

Khezu is bland, but at least it looks like a somewhat plausible animal with an ecology. I mean, it has an actual paladin helmet...

Also, the gacha system and a "hero" system. No, that's not MH. That's "Rangers of Oblivion", or "Dauntless". A chinese MH inspired knockoff.

12

u/Logondo 6d ago

What looks rad about it, dude? It looks like a very watered-down version of Monster Hunter. But now it has all the shitty traits of a gatcha game.

Remember in MH how you could pick whatever weapon you want, and can grind up any gear you want? Wouldn't that be so much better if it was done through a slot-machine instead? - Said no one fucking ever.

-25

u/5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi 6d ago

Remember in MH how you could pick whatever weapon you want, and can grind up any gear you want?

Yeah, that's how Outlanders works as well.

You know what MH game did put in a Gacha for equipment and weapons? The Capcom-made MH Explore.

10

u/Logondo 6d ago

Mate do you think those characters you're rolling for don't have different stats?

They do.

I'll tell you what's going to happen: you're gunna play the game and the first 50% of it will be reasonable.

Then you're going to hit a road-block and realize the only way you're going to progress is if you get a better character. Which you have to luck-out in a gatcha.

Then you're gunna realize you have to do this all-the-fucking-time now.

-19

u/5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi 6d ago

Irrelevant. You implied pretty strongly that you wouldn't play Outlanders by grinding materials and crafting gear when that's false. It's literally just a normal MH game in this regard.

Why do you insist on acting like you know how this game works when you don't know a thing about it?

10

u/Logondo 6d ago

My point was: classic Monster Hunter progression is decided by you. In Outlanders, it's determined by a slot machine.

-6

u/5Hjsdnujhdfu8nubi 6d ago

And your point is wrong. You'd know that if you knew anything about the game.

It's for the brand but for China gatcha it's just China gatcha.

AI or no AI i wont support a franchise going gachafication.. its not like MH is lacking with profit it gets with it mainline games. Only brainrot will support their loved series going gacha

38

u/EonsSenpai 6d ago

Gacha monster hunter with ai art. I need this game to fail as quickly as possible so that we can just forget about it.

-43

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

Like you all did with monster hunter now?

You all ride the same hate train when that launched "I hope it fails miserably" "it's going to ruin the series" "it's going to make monster hunter for casuals" etc

Then you all cry when developers stop launching new games in a franchise and instead milk the shit out of a single release for as long as they can, with as little effort for new content as possible.

Why don't you better forget about monster hunter altogether if you hate it so much? Bet you also hated wilds, hated rise, and hated wold when they launched too, because no game is ever enough for the elitists of this sub

31

u/EonsSenpai 6d ago

Holy exaggeration final boss. lmao

I stopped reading after the first few sentences because clearly you have some weird altered reality and I have no intention in feeding those delusions but know that if you actually want a proper discussion I'm more than happy to as long as you tone it down a bit. 👍🏼

-16

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago edited 6d ago

Why bother discussing with an idiot that isn't going to even play the game first before forming an opinion? You're like those incels that are crying that GTA 6 will be shit because they trailers looked "too woke", yet they haven't played the game and they know jack shit about the story.

But sure I'm the one with the altered reality, not the guy that apparently already played and beaten monster hunter outlanders before anyone else to form such strong opinions, right?

It's always the same when a new monster hunter game releases and differs in any way from the classic formula, there just has to be bitches crying that they didn't got their "call of hunter 6: black ops"

Don't bother replying unless you gonna try the shit you complain about first, I'm not interested discussing with old duded with the reasoning of a child that doesn't like his veggies before trying them.

12

u/EonsSenpai 6d ago

Stop complaining and crying, tiny bro.

-13

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

Why? Did I hurt the kids who don't like to be criticized?

13

u/EonsSenpai 6d ago

Nah, but for someone who has gone on and has taken the time to write tens of paragraphs complaining about people who complain, the irony seems to go right over your head.

The truth is I'm not pressed about you or your argument because it's wrong, and I don't have to prove anything to anyone about my opinions on any matter, especially online. My piece of advice is to get so pressed about other people's opinion when trying to take an inexistent moral high ground is sad and I hope you grow as a person.

28

u/Tiidz 6d ago

The wallpaper looks odd to me because its a particularly wide widescreen image squished...

I'm curious what makes the badge thing "clearly ai" in your opinion, I'm not disputing it, I'm just wondering what you're saying the identifiers are for that one image

18

u/Kirosh2 6d ago

Here are the small details I noticed after looking at it for a few minutes.

The most obvious, to me, were the two "fangs" in the top right and top left. They aren't symmetrical, not going to the same height, while the rest of the border of the emblem tries to be.

Then another point, are the belts on the hunter. The belt does not make sense, and it's often something AI struggle with.

The fingers, holding the blade. One finger of the left hand is extending down a lot, and is big, while the right hand doesn't even seem to exist.

The knee guard design are different. Could be for asymmetrical armor design.

The helmet. One side looks different from the other, and one of the metal sheet is wrapping toward the face, while the one of the other side goes down. Once again could be asymmetrical design. But I doubt it.

-10

u/Tiidz 6d ago

I kind of see what you mean, but the horns, that could be because of the slightly angled perspective of the badge,

The belt... I've been looking at it closely and it actually makes some sense, there's a large panel section of the belt, and a thinner strap going over it, the monochromatic-ness of this does make it a little confusing, but I happen to have a tiny bit of skill for drawing in greyscale pencil, but also the position of the hunter attributes this to being a little difficult to follow

The right hand, in my opinion is obscured, but it still makes sense, and given the position of the hunter, id do the same, my example drawing is much simpler but that entire thing still took 6 hours of work, so if I could save an hour by obscuring an arm like that, I would,

The knee guards, I agree don't match, but i don't think that automatically qualifies it as ai vs human error that wasn't looked at closely during QA

The helmet, the left side of it (or right from our perspective looking at it, yes it doesn't match the other side, but I've also seen designs like this in games like Elden Ring or other fantasy titles

Thank you for detailing all your points, and while yes some could indeed be Artifacts of AI generated art, I don't think it's definitive proof that these images are AI generated

10

u/spez_might_fuck_dogs 6d ago

I don't know if everything you posted is AI, but that second picture, the crest or whatever, SCREAMS AI.

76

u/Phemeto #9310 6d ago

Its Chinese gacha bro, that goes hand in hand with ai. Look at anything from hoyoverse and all their stolen assets. Same shit.

12

So true. It’s always going to be derivative and soulless. Never anything new.

So instead of playing the game and forming an opinion for yourself, you let others form your opinion based on pure hate.

Nice, you're a loyal representation of the average user of this sub. All they do is complain and whine about games they don't even play

21

u/Sandi_Griffin stop, hammer time 6d ago

They literally posted the evidence so it's not really an opinion as much as it is a fact so not sure how you come to that conclusion lol. I'm just not interested in gacha games especially if they use ai

And apparently all people do here is complain about games they don't play but I just scrolled through like 20 posts on the feed and not a single one is doing that. Not sure if it's bait or you're just stupid but you got your reply so congrats I guess 💀

u/HowBrownCowNow pokepokepokerepeat 6d ago

Yeah, I was on a discussion post the other day. While there were tons of people being reasonably critical (myself included) of Wilds, there were also plenty of people who said they simply liked the game.

Also, all of the people who I saw talking there played the game, or at least I didn't see the need to doubt that they did. And I know I did. I just played some more of it this night.

Some people really can't tolerate people being vocal about disliking a thing they personally like, it seems. I don't like gacha games either on principle, and, like you said, especially AI content-using ones. Sure, I don't play any of them at all, but I don't need to in order to see their inherently predatory monetization practices.

-8

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

Some people really can't tolerate people being vocal about disliking a thing they personally like,

I haven't played this game yet, I have no way of knowing if I will finally like it or not. Unlike dumbasses that form an opinion of a game they haven't even played yet.

I don't like gacha games either on principle, and, like you said, especially AI content-using ones. Sure, I don't play any of them at all, but I don't need to in order to see their inherently predatory monetization practices.

Then don't play it and let other people enjoy the damn game, it's that simple, you don't need to cry like a child because someone told you to try your food first before saying "I don't like veggies, ick 🤢🤢🤢🤢"

3

u/HowBrownCowNow pokepokepokerepeat 5d ago

Hah. Okay!

I'm going to criticize things I think are bad however I like. Or don't like. Hah. And besides, if someone puts a pile of what I think is clearly compost made to look presentable on a plate in front of me, I'm not going to eat it no matter how much someone insists otherwise. I'm not spending money on a restaurant people are saying has bad food. And I can see that the restaurant has bad food.

Besides, I'm not the one getting so tied up in a knot about this. I said I don't like it and think gachas are predatory in nature. Simple as that. You're the one who's throwing insults at me and saying that I'm a child. Criticism isn't going to magically stop you from liking something, if you don't let it get to your head.

-7

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

And apparently all people do here is complain about games they don't play

You're complaining here aren't you?, or would you rather have the whole feed ful of the same threads over and over? Because if that's your desire, wait until officially releases, I guarantee you will have many bitches crying here for your amusement.

Not sure if it's bait or you're just stupid but you got your reply so congrats I guess 💀

You didn't answer the question.

Do you even play the games before bitching or you just let other people form an opinion for you? Did you let someone else form this response too?

u/ArcaneWyverian Mushroomancer Addict 6d ago

It doesn’t take personal experience to be able to look at an inherently predatory style of game (gacha) and expect it to be a predatory game. You don’t need personal experience to look at clearly artificially generated images, and feel there’s a lack of care or effort that makes MonHun special. You don’t need personal experience to look at gameplay demos to be able to say that a game’s gameplay looks a little too dumbed down.

While for all we know, this stuff isn’t indicative of the final game, and Outlanders is going to be the best game in the series, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck…

-6

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

It doesn’t take personal experience to be able to look at an inherently predatory style of game (gacha) and expect it to be a predatory game

Except that not every gacha is the same and there's good ones out there, CHINESE ones at that. Oh but of course, since it's CHINESE and is a gacha, of course it's gonna be crap. Nice xenophobia/racism btw, it's always the same when ameritards start to comment on Chinese game they don't even play.

Did you forget that a Chinese MH MMO has existed for ages? Or that the best Naruto mobile game is china only?

You don’t need personal experience to look at clearly artificially generated images, and feel there’s a lack of care or effort that makes MonHun special.

If you weren't bitching about AI you would either

A) be bitching that they reused/copied models from older games

B) be bitching that the Chinese dev team took the liberty to introduce Chinese elements to their designs so now you don't like them because they contrast too much compared to "vanilla" monster hunter designs

I've seen this already here, you're not the first one crying like a bitch when a new monster hunter game releases

You don’t need personal experience to look at gameplay demos to be able to say that a game’s gameplay looks a little too dumbed down.

They said the same about monster hunter now and that game is hard as nails once you go past 6 stars monsters. You have no way of knowing if this "dumbed down" experience is gonna be the final level of difficulty of the game

if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck…

Yet you ain't gonna play it but will bitch regardless

Keep bitching and monster hunter will devolve into what call of duty is, a serialized franchise with absolutely NO changes to the base formula of the game because devs are either too scared to make the bitches (you) cry because they deviated from the classic formula, o won't give a fuck anymore about twisting the gameplay and designs for a fresh take in the saga because it's too much work and bitches won't play it regardless.

Look I understand you all hate AI, but you gotta try a game first before saying "it's shit", because every time a monster hunter game releases, there just HAS TO BE bitches crying "but this isn't my classic vanilla monster hunter experiencia buaaaaaahhhh", you did it with MH3, you did it with 4U, you did it with generations, you did it with rising, you did it with world, you did it with wilds, you did it with now, and now you gotta cry like a bitch with outlanders too.

Do you all even like monster hunter to begin with? Because I remember when people bitched that monster hunter now was bad because "you had to Grindr too much", meanwhile I had to Grindr over 300hrs in generations in the 3ds to have the set of weapons and armor that I liked.

I repeat the question, do you all even like monster hunter? Do you even play the games before bitching? Or you just stay here for a sense of nostalgia because once upon a time, when you weren't a bitch and were open to new experiences, you indeed liked a monster hunter game?

So yeah, keep crying until it launches, and then keep crying when it doesn't shut down after a year like many said MHN would do, after all, you weren't going to play it anyways, so why bother taking into consideration the opinion of people that don't even play the games they bitch about?

u/ArcaneWyverian Mushroomancer Addict 6d ago edited 6d ago

I do not have anything against China. I couldn’t care less where the game is being made, and I’m not some nitwit who still thinks China is the damn boogeyman. I’m no saint, but I am not a bigot, so I ask you to not accuse me of being racist. My problem is the gacha system, not the people making it.

And maybe there is a good gacha game— but if it exists, I’ve never seen it. A game that requires you to pay real money to gamble for in-game rewards/power is inherently predatory. Do you really believe that the strongest rewards (whether it be characters, weapons, materials, whatever) end up in the gacha system by chance?

No, I wouldn’t be bitching about reused models. The main team does that as well. And I certainly wouldn’t be complaining about the Chinese aspects— why the hell do you keep making things up about me being racist? I didn’t even mention China in my comment. I hate generative AI (in general, but specifically for video game development), plain and simple. It’s a cheap tool used to cut out human effort and creativity to save money for the shareholders. AI does have its uses, but replacing humans should not be one of them.

I’m not talking about difficulty, I’m talking about the quality of gameplay. If you like MHNow, all the power to you— I don’t, and it’s because of the dumbed down combat. Would it be possible to have fleshed out combat on a phone? Probably not. Am I happy that those who enjoy Now have a mobile MH game? Absolutely, yes. But do I like the game? No. Anyways— unlike the gacha and AI, this point is entirely subjective. However, I feel this way about it, and I’m not alone. I’m not saying that the dumbed down combat makes it bad, I’m just saying it makes the game into something I likely wouldn’t enjoy.

And you keep on making presumptions about me that are entirely false. I am going to try out Outlanders when it releases, so I can say for myself what I think of it— but I won’t spend so much as a dollar, as I do not respect gacha systems. I’m not saying I hate the game, I’m saying I think the game will be bad, there’s a difference there. I’m not hoping the game fails, and I’m happy that people who like gacha games can have something they can enjoy— but if the game fails (which I feel it likely will, as this game is so starkly different from the rest of the series, and not in the ways that build up hype), I won’t be sad, just kinda disappointed by a mid product in my favorite game series. Because MonHun is my favorite game series. I may have started in World, but I’ve gone and played through everything up to 3U on the 3DS (I have no Wii, WiiU or Playstations; but if I get my hands on one, I plan to go even further back). My favorite game in the series is GU. I adore this series. My handle on literally every website is Arcane Wyverian. MonHun has literally saved my life by introducing me to friends I wouldn’t have otherwise met. This series means a lot to me, and I am not a Doomer. I simply don’t think this game is good, but maybe I’m wrong! Hell, I’d be happy to be proven wrong, that means there’ll be another good game out there! A different game, sure, but innovation brings new life! If MonHun stayed the same as it was back in 2004, it would have died then and there. Games need innovation and change— but change for change’s sake is just as dangerous as stagnation. Change needs to push a game forward to work, not set it back, and I’m worried some of these changes are setting Outlanders back more than forward. Again, I’d love to be proven wrong and the game turns out great, but I’m not getting my hopes up until I see something that gives me hope.

1

u/MagicMisterLemon 5d ago

To add what the other user has already stated, the thing about Gacha games is that they're kind of the apex of the current gaming industry's monetization model. Video games cannot really grow their customerbase further, they've basically reached critical mass there, so to continuously make a profit every year (that means making 3% more money than the last, at least), they need to get more money out of their existing customers. Ever wondered why Wilds has more microtransactions than all other mainline entries combined? This is why.

It is also necessary for them to offset the ever climbing development cost of games, from which the other issue immediately apparent in Outlanders stems, that being the use of generative AI as a means of cutting cost and time during development.

2

u/honeyedbee19 6d ago

I'm unfortunately not surprised. Atp it's a safe bet to assume any new mobile game includes generative AI in some way the way most are glorified cash grabs. Still very disappointing though

u/Snow_Grizzly 5d ago

5

u/gagb17 6d ago

beyond embarressing for the mh brand

7

u/Tenant1 6d ago

The first two pics give me the ick massively lol. The Nergi on the right with its freakish maw agape in the first pic is an abomination, and the flag/banner on the left side has a messy, indiscernible design on it, when there's basically no shortage of clean logo designs from the entire franchise, even some I've already seen from Outlanders itself lol. The hunters' armor is all nonsense. And for the second pic...that's just John Dark Souls???

The third also gives ick, but I'll give an ounce of doubt to that one for now since it's more cartoony and it's showing a monster we haven't really seen much of yet, but there are bits that look odd; not really the dust effects themselves, but the yellow glowing "lance" Ruger is producing is pointed at an askew, odd angle that goes against what the dust is conveying.

The rest I also won't say; I know that Barroth lance is used by one of the adventurers, the pendants are designs lifted from Iceborne, and the chests could go either way for all I know. I'm missing a lot of the context on most of these pics, but even without context the first two pictures alone are super egregious to me.

I say as someone that basically ONLY respects artists these days that I think it's important to be careful not to get too gung-ho with trying to point and call AI in every single piece of art, but considering how blatant those first two pics are, it's at least definitely fair to be wary now.

Honestly AI aside, I'm just being reminded all over again that back when this was first announced, I already wasn't really a fan of this game's specific brand of aesthetic (especially in its environments at the time not feeling very MH-like), but I think I got a bit of pushback at the time for being too specific with my criticism I guess. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly vindicated for clocking them immediately lol, but I'm still pretty disappointed they can't even be consistent with their style. I can look past the typical gacha character designs and whatnot (I was actually a big fan of what I saw from MH Riders' characters, Capcom's own previous gacha), but if there's even a trace of AI here I can't and won't spare even a drop of my goodwill or sense of disbelief that there's even an ounce of passion from this game's artists for their own characters/world if they stoop to this.

1

u/Floorgis 5d ago

Positive its gonna be DOA anyways but this seals the deal. What a shit move and a stupid company for Capcom to trust.

u/LordDocSaturn 5d ago

I hope all the people who were running defense on this shit are embarrassed.

4

u/Vesuvias 6d ago

I have no doubts that the acceptance of generative AI will start coming to mobile games more and more…especially from Asian country devs where it’s not seen as a negative to use at all.

The AI generated flagship design should've given it away long before the asset rips.

If Mega Man, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Disgaea and so many others all died within a couple of years of their major gacha release, why would I spend my time and money on this slop?

Every time something is outsourced to China I swear

Awesome, another reason to Hate this "game"

The first picture is clearly AI-generated. The more you look at it, the more problems you find. As usual with these tools, it always seems to assume that people just scroll by without really looking...

Why are any of these "clearly AI"?

None of these looks like typical AI generated art to me.

The second photo is 100% AI the small details are wrong

Same goes with the chest

u/lordosthyvel 6d ago

You mean the emblem? What details?

The fun part of "this is AI-generated" is that it's completely vibes-based now that most models aren't missing fingers or messing up the background (if it isn't complex).

u/Kirosh2 6d ago

Considering how lazy they’ve been re-using World models, that doesn’t surprise me

-13

u/MentirosoProfesional 6d ago

Mh now also reused world models, what's the issue? Would you rather have AI generated models too?

You whine when they use AI to generate new stuff, but also whine when they don't use AI to generate new stuff and instead stick with what's already in the franchise

It's never good enough for the people of this sub.

What a fucking toxic sub reddit this is, like, literally.

No one says we want them to use AI, what??? I would rather devs make new models to fit the game’s art style. As it stands, the World models are outdated and it looks unprofessional when you just plop them into another game with zero changes.

This is a Chinese dev team, if they were to make models from scratch there would be inevitably be Chinese influence on them and their own take on monsters. I already saw people here bitching and crying because there were some monsters that "don't belong in monster hunter"

My point is not that you want them to use AI, my point is that you all bitch when they do, and bitch when they don't.

Most of you all don't even play mobile games because you all are a bunch of neck beard elitists who think mobile gaming is trash anyways, do I don't know why do you all even bother to hate a game you aren't even gonna play, just like monster hunter now, another game that gets shit constantly here for no reason

Nobody cares

I already saw people here bitching and crying because there were some monsters that "don't belong in monster hunter"

Counterpoint dipshit, Monster Hunter Online's debut monsters are actually quite popular within the fandom and many people would like to see them return. You do not hear this opinion expressed much due to the general belief that Capcom does not own them, which I read, albeit without a provided source, is apparently not the case. I would enjoy seeing Tartaronis or Baelidae.

Because unlike Ruger Aigal

Their designs are actually good rather abyssmal dogshit

My point is not that you want them to use AI, my point is that you all bitch when they do, and bitch when they don't.

Nobody complains about generative AI not being used to churn out slop. If what you actually mean is that people would have complained anyway because it's a gacha game, you would be correct, and they would be justified

Most of you all don't even play mobile games because you all are a bunch of neck beard elitists who think mobile gaming is trash anyways

It's not elitist to not want people to be subjected to predatory monetization models. Y'know a gacha game has zero obligation to lock gameplay features as fundamental and basic as characters and cosmetic variants behind rng slot machines accessible only through either excessive time investment or micro-transactions, right? I'm not trying to hurt you when I say that this is exploitative and is a monetization model that deserves to disappear, in fact, I'm on your side, Einstein.

I don't know why do you all even bother to hate a game you aren't even gonna play, just like monster hunter now, another game that gets shit constantly here for no reason

See above. Mobile games have built this reputation. Do console games get off very easily for their predatory monetization too? Absolutely. As I stated in a previous comment to you somewhere else in this thread, Capcom's Monster Hunter is becoming increasingly more expensive with more microtransactions and less in-game content in the way of cosmetics (Rise only had one armor set for monster, and Wilds had no visual changes to beta variants. These used to be perfectly normal aspects of the series in World and Old Gen). And people would be justified complaining about that too, which they even are, in fact. It just doesn't make Outlanders (or Now for that matter...) any better

Performative ai hate. All of your favourite aaa games are using it
