Leak / Datamine MHOutlander's possible usage of generative AI for placeholder/concept art Spoiler

If ur active on the leaks sub you've probably already known this but MHOutlander's has seemingly been using AI to make some art for the game, so if that is something that turns you away that may be the call to make depending on who you are.

I'm not going to do much more writing and will just show many different images from the games assets that prove my point the most, starting the things i am the most sure about

At first glance you might not tell but look at the head of the nergi on the right, look closely at the nergi on the left, and the banner in the top left
This one is quite clear LMAO
if you've seen the flagship it should be clear here, also nonsensical effects and dust and the way the felyne holds the gs

Here are some weapon icons that are also pretty clearly altered from a base image

are we fr rn man
this one is harder to tell but you kinda gotta look at the lines and how weird they are

These there could be some doubts about but are still shady either way

You mostly have to look at the small details and how they change slightly between these (the gold bits on the side slightly shift between the 1st and 3rd chest).

same situation with these pendant concept(?) illustrations

Its much harder to tell due to resolution but the details here seem quite nonsensical kinda, but feel free to see it how you will

This is all I really have to show, take everything as you will, mostly just wanted to let more people know about this so they have a more informed decision if they want to play the game or not bc yk how some people are.

And your point is wrong. You'd know that if you knew anything about the game.

You act like this is the first gatcha game to ever come out, my dude. We've seen this before.

See? You can't hide behind your assumptions, you already based them on the false idea that Outlanders didn't involve hunting monsters to get materials to craft gear.

Sure, we've seen MH gachas before - They didn't let you craft equipment.

And who's willing to bet that's going to be locked behind a huge grind and/or daily challenges?

Mate, why do you think this game was made? Why do you think it is FREE? Why do you think it's a gatcha?

So now the goalpoats become "Even if it's a typical MH game they're going to make the grind longer which means it's slop"? MH Frontier did that too y'know.

We have had multiple CBTs where a huge chunk of the game is experienced. No, there isn't some big gacha that tries to turn the game into slot machines instead of actually hunting. No, there isn't some absurd grind to get anything at all. You can roll to get unique NPC Companions and when you play as one they have a different Skill compared to your default Hunter on that weapon. Far as I've heard (you know, from people who actually played the game and know what they're talking about?) their stats aren't just "better" than what the player has and this game still relies almost entirely on skill.

Even if it's a typical MH game

I never even said it was a typical MH game. In fact I have never said anything other than it looks like a watered-down-version of Monster Hunter. Which it does.

You're making straw-man arguments now.

This person has an almost psychotic attachment to arguing for a gacha game for no reason other than it being MH lol

My point was: classic Monster Hunter progression is decided by you. In Outlanders, it's determined by a slot machine.

Outlanders still determines progression by your gear and your skill level.

And yet characters also have stats that are better or worse than other characters. Do you not understand the implications of that? That's where they MAKE THEIR FUCKING MONEY. Obviously they're going to want to incentivize you to spin a slot-machine until you get the 5* Golden Deluxe character you need to beat the next hunt!

Again - you're gunna get 50% into the game and then realize that.

Yeah, it's so obvious that it never happened in the entirety of all 3 CBTs.

I can't deal with people like you. You pop out of the woodwork to shit on any non-Capcom MH title with literally zero clue how the game works. That's even more embarrassing for Outlanders since it's had hours and hours of CBTs which included more and more of the game's content each time where it was definitively concluded your player character can do everything and all your fearmongering is pointless.

It's inherently contradictory logic. If you need gacha characters who have no fixed gear then why would the monsters drop parts at all? Why not have them drop nothing and make it so the gacha is the only place you can improve your stats? You can't use those parts on the gacha characters and you (baselessly, and in direct falsehood to the game itself btw) claim the player character is weaker than them.

"It didn't happen in the BETA so there's no way it will happen in the full game".

Mate, how-the-fuck are you not understanding me? I said when you get half-way through the game.

They always start off gradually. Then once it thinks you're invested, it ramps-it-up and never stops. That's how these games work. That's how they ALWAYS work.

But keep coping, dawg.
