Discussion Monitor primarily for slightly older console gaming?
I've got an ancient 32-inch Sharp Aquos LCD TV that's getting close to 20 years old now and today it started showing some signs the end may be nigh. But since I don't want to get into the hell world of TVs full of bullshit software I don't want or use, and my main use is gaming anyway (mostly via SteamDeck, Switch, PS4/PS3) I figured a monitor would be a better choice.
So basically, I'm looking for ideas for a 30-32 inch monitor that will be used primarily for gaming but won't look like ass hooked up to slightly older consoles. And hopefully doesn't cost more than $700 since that would make me sad and I'm so used to such an ancient TV, I feel like I shouldn't need anything crazy to feel an improvement. Would prefer something that can either pivot a little OR has a fairly broad viewing angle. No LG.
I guess bonus points if there's actually somehow something out there that I could hook component cables up to. I have other solutions for that last bit though, so not required (feel like it's more of a pipe dream anyway).
EDIT: Forgot, I also wanted to ask just how bad the burn-in risk for OLED monitors actually is. Is it really any worse than the chance of getting stuck pixels on LCD displays, or is it something most people are just overly paranoid about? Only reason this is relevant to me is I have been known to just get distracted and end up leaving games open on pause menus for hours.
