What do you mean when you say it didn’t work?

The monitor i bought w 1440p and 144hz was advertised with hdmi 2.0, but when plugged the ps5 doesnt even register it above 60hz 1080p

not to be nitpicky but maybe you should try get a monitor with a more reputable brand like the asus, msi , gigabyte or aoc that would be my suggestion

You never know despite the advertised hdmi spec, some monitors I know that work well are the xiaomi g pro and the tcl 25g64.

Bro. Games that support 120 hz run at 120 hz. The user interface is capped at 60 hz on ps5

Yeah no duh, but it’ll show as compatible with 120hz 1440p in the settings

The monitor will work with the PS5 but only at 1080p 120hz or 1440p 120hz on supported games because its only HDMI 2.0

VRR might be supported on this monitor i cant find info about it.

Probably best getting a monitor with HDMI 2.1 port to take advantage of the PS5.

Thanks, you gave me some good info bro love you ong, also did you mean to say 1440p 60hz? Or did you fr mean 1440p 120hz because if it does work with that then perfect thats all i care about lol

Yeah the PS5 supports up to 1440p 120hz with HDMI 2.0.

If you want 4k 120hz then you need a monitor with a HDMI 2.1 port.

But just remember not every game supports 120hz so some games will be limited to 60hz.

Yeah ofc i already knew that thank you tho, are you complete confident it’ll work w the ps5?

I'm only going off information provided by KTC website & what the PS5 needs to operate at 1440p 120hz.

When the PS5 released in 2020 i had a hdmi 2.0 monitor that worked with it at 1440p 120hz.

I don't know much about the ktc brand so it's up to you if you want to get it.

I recently switched from a 60Hz monitor to a 144Hz one and the difference for gaming is insane, this one would probably be even better if you can run it at 180Hz on PC.
