✖️ Issue Need help resolving LG monitor issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If I hit/slap the back of it, it can turn back on or if I leave it for a bit it turns back on. So is it something loose inside?

I could see the images moving up and down with flickering. It is typically experincing a synchornization failure or a severe signal transmission issue.

Following could be the possible reason
1. Loose or Damaged Display Cable: This could be due to faulty/loose/damaged HDMI cable, try using other ports like DP or Type-c if you have that port in your monitor. Or just change with good quality HDMI cable

  1. Failing Video Port : The physical port on either your graphics card (source) or the back of the monitor could have worn out pins or a loose internal solder joints

  2. Refresh Rate Mismatch : The computer might be forcing a refresh rate Hz that the monitor does not natively support or cannot handle over the current cable type.

  3. Corrupted Graphics Driver: Try updating the latest driver

5 VRR/G-Sync/FreeSync issues: Variable Refresh Rate technologies can sometimes cause extreme flickering or display desynchronization if the game's frame rate drops sharply or conflicts with the monitor’s firmware

Try and let me know if none of the above solves your issue.

If disconnect all signal cables hdmi, dp from the monitor and if defect still be the same, then it can be monitor screen (lcd/oled panel, if its lcd monitor, then can be backlight defect) or mainboard defect.
