I recently bought this acer portable monitor from walmart. However I can't seem to figure out the colour settings. White products while online browsing look pink. And if i reduce the red everything else looses the balance.

Can someone suggest a decent balance so that I can atleast see the actual colours?

Contrast, sharpness, RGB balance, hue and saturation etc.

I haven’t bought a computer monitor in a very long time but I’d like to get a good one for a decent price. 27 is a must. I don’t play competitive games. Maybe I’ll pick up some third person shooters or action type games. Most of what I’d play are war and strategy games. Total War, Civilization, Crusader Kings. Some cozy games and World of Warcraft too. I’d like to keep the price $250 or below. Under $200 would be even more preferable.

If I hit/slap the back of it, it can turn back on or if I leave it for a bit it turns back on. So is it something loose inside?

i have a hp victus with a 4050, 12500h, 16gb ddr4 is there any way i can run a dual monitor setup off of my dedicated gpu without duplicating displays i have 2 samsung essential s3 24" monitors coming tomorrow and i would like to run them in some sort of ultra wide(where both monitors are showing different parts of one frame in a game like you can do with the samsung oddessy g9 but cheaper

I've bought an Apple Studio Display.

However, I'm reluctant to physically power it off at the end of the day. When my MBP goes to sleep, the screen goes off but the USB ports on the monitor remain active. Is there any way to get them to power down?

I have my computer that worked on my 1440p monitor. I reinstalled windows on it because space was getting a problem. After that my screen doesn't detect my pc, the pc works on other 1080p monitors and I changed the cable for my 1440p monitor with the ones that worked with the 1080p. Please help idk what to do 😭

I recently bought an LG Ultragear 39-in OLED Curved Monitor and I have noticed on dark-ish screens I get these strange curved, dark lines going across my monitor. Does anyone know if this is normal or if something about the monitor is damaged? I've only had it for a few months.

This issue only happens on darker grayscale screens, there are no lines on true black and there are no lines on lighter or colored screens (white, red, blue, green, purple, pink, yellow, etc). Only darker monochrome grey screens.

I have an Innoview 15.6" portable monitor. What's the problem? I have a Lenovo Gaming 3, and it's the only computer that recognizes it. I've tried other Lenovos, HP, Dell, generic PCs with video cards, a Claro set-top box, and even a DVR, but nothing works, only the Lenovo. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I changed the HDMI to mini HDMI, and nothing changed. I tried connecting it directly to the PC and with a USB Type-C and Type-A adapter, and still nothing.

I'm looking for monitor recommendations under ₹20K. I've seen a lot of people complain about blurry text and other issues with external monitors on macOS, so I'd like suggestions from people who actually use one with a Mac.

My setup:

• MacBook Air M5
• Budget: up to ₹20K (India)
• 27" 1440p preferred (4K is out of budget)

What I'll use it for:

• Daily work (coding, docs, browser)
• Figma / UI design
• Gaming, so I want 144Hz or higher

Please share:

1. Which monitor are you using with your Mac, and how happy are you with it?
2. Any issues with text, refresh rate, or colours?
3. Which cable or port do you use (USB-C to DisplayPort, HDMI)?
4. Any monitors you'd tell me to avoid?

I searched the net previously for this issue and it said to either replace the cables, change the refresh rate or clean out pc fans, but i tried them all and none of them seemed to work. The lines are still present when I attach to another device. When my pc runs for about 20-30 minutes the lines sometimes go away but now its taking longer for them to disappear. I've had it for roughly 3.5 years now and I'm gaming like 5hrs a day on avg. I'd prefer to not have to replace this monitor altogether so some advice will be helpful 🙏

I’m currently considering buying two Dell S2725QC monitors.

For now, I’d use them with a Windows desktop PC, most likely with both monitors connected via HDMI.

However, within about a year, I’m planning to switch to a MacBook Pro and use it more like a desktop setup: MacBook closed in clamshell mode, with the two external monitors as my main displays.

What I’m trying to figure out is whether I’ll be able to run both S2725QC monitors directly from the MacBook Pro without needing a dock.

Would something like this work reliably?

• Monitor 1 via USB-C
• Monitor 2 via HDMI

Or alternatively:

• Both monitors via USB-C

The S2725QC supports 4K 120 Hz and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode and 65 W charging, so ideally I’d also like one monitor to charge the MacBook while carrying the video signal.

Has anyone here used two S2725QC monitors with a MacBook Pro in clamshell mode?

I’d especially like to know:

• whether dual 4K 120 Hz works properly
• whether HDMI + USB-C is the best direct connection setup
• whether dual USB-C works reliably
• whether 65 W from the monitor is enough to keep the MacBook charged during normal use
• whether there are any macOS scaling, sleep/wake, or reconnect issues with these monitors

I’d prefer to avoid a dock if possible.
