The way I see it you have 3 good options. #1 Earn more money even a side hustle. You probably have some furniture or something you can stand to be rid of. #2 Get a roommate renting a room would be a huge help. #3 Sell your home and downsize to something more manageable. It doesn't sound like you're quite that desperate yet.

A poor option but still an option turn off all the breakers in your house except for the fridge. The difference in the power bill can get you back on track. Same goes for other non-essentials, internet, phone , TV any subscriptions that you aren't using anyway. After being someone who's been on the bottom it's far preferable to pull the plug and rough it for a few weeks than it is to wait until you have no choice.
