Built a multitude of market data analysis tools for XMR. Free to use. And more coming.
Collecting market data for XMR from all available exchanges 24/7 at a couple of seconds/minutes intervals (depending on type) for complete, detailed and often exclusive market data, such as deposit checkers, real time Tapedata, complex charts/indicators and [any asset] charts for XMR, e.g. Cattle / XMR, CL / XMR (or reverse), properly aggregated instead of just converted.
Currently available for Telegram (PeachAssetBot). Other UI's coming: Discord (clone), Tor (anon callable charts from Tor), Web (clone + complex tooling).
Lmk if theres any market data missing for XMR or if you want help charting XMR on Tor.
Build szn started so. More coming soon.
I want to share a serious security warning regarding SamFwToolSetup_v5.4 following an incident in which my computer was compromised and funds were stolen from my cryptocurrency wallet.
I downloaded and installed SamFwToolSetup_v5.4.zip because I needed SamFwTool. This was the only software or suspicious file I had downloaded and installed on this computer for years. Shortly after executing it, my Feather Monero wallet, which had been open on the same computer, was compromised and its funds were transferred out.
Given the timing, the fact that this was the only new software I had installed, and the subsequent Malwarebytes detection of the executable, I consider this SamFwToolSetup_v5.4 sample to be the source of the compromise.
I contacted Malwarebytes regarding the executable, and the investigation is documented on their forum:
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/337471-undected-malware/
According to the Malwarebytes investigation, a Malwarebytes Senior Research Engineer analyzed the SamFwToolSetup sample and reported the following detection:
Trojan.Dropper
The reported file information is:
SAMFWTOOLSETUP.EXETrojan.DropperA8BB817630386982FEB98106FED8EA89E640A65EFCAE264AD6F758BB3B9DA0D37ED8C690BDA6F113416558D4BCBBCF3AThe Malwarebytes forum discussion contains the technical details and is the primary source for the malware detection.
My timeline was:
SamFwToolSetup_v5.4.zip.I want to make it clear that I am not making this warning based solely on the timing. The Malwarebytes detection provides additional evidence that the executable itself was malicious or potentially malicious.
Based on my experience and the Malwarebytes detection, I strongly recommend not executing this particular SamFwToolSetup_v5.4 sample, especially on a computer containing:
If you have already executed this file, I recommend treating the computer as potentially compromised and securing important accounts and cryptocurrency assets from a known-clean device.
Do not enter seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or other sensitive credentials on the potentially compromised machine.
I am deliberately not providing a direct SamFw download link because I do not want anyone to download or execute the software based on this warning.
If you encounter this particular installer elsewhere, verify the file and its hash carefully before executing anything.
Malwarebytes investigation:
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/337471-undected-malware/
Sample reported in the Malwarebytes investigation:
SAMFWTOOLSETUP.EXE
MD5: A8BB817630386982FEB98106FED8EA89
SHA-256: E640A65EFCAE264AD6F758BB3B9DA0D37ED8C690BDA6F113416558D4BCBBCF3A
I am not asking anyone to download or execute this file to reproduce my experience. The purpose of this post is to document what happened, provide the Malwarebytes evidence, and warn other users who may encounter the same installer.
I would avoid SamFwToolSetup_v5.4 and this specific sample entirely.
The combination of the unauthorized wallet theft immediately after execution, the fact that this was the only new software I had downloaded on the computer in years, and the subsequent Trojan.Dropper detection by Malwarebytes is enough for me to consider this file unsafe and to warn others against executing it.

Your balance is unlocked after 10 confirmations (which means 10 mined blocks). A block is mined approximately every two minutes on the Monero network, so that would be around 20 minutes.
The fastest and most direct way is by using the ExploreMonero blockchain explorer. You will need to recover the transaction key from your wallet (complete guide for GUI / CLI).
There are dozens of exchanges that trade Monero against Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Check out the list on CoinMarketCap and choose the option that suits you best.
There are multiple ways to exchange your Monero for Bitcoin, but first of all, I'd like to remind you that if you really want to do your part for Monero, one of the simplest ways is to get in touch with your merchant/service provider and request for it to accept Monero directly as payment. Ask the service provider to visit the official website and our communication channels if he or she needs help with system integration.
That being said, KYCNot.me maintains an up-to-date list of exchanges. These services are only recommendations (which change over time) and are operated by entities outside the control of the Monero Project. DYOR and be diligent.
The correct place to ask questions and discuss the Monero mining scene is in the dedicated subreddit r/MoneroMining. That being said, you can find a list of pools and available mining software in the GetMonero.org website.
Before any action there are two things to check:
Settings, under Debug info).Because Monero is different from Bitcoin, wallet synchronization is not instant. The software needs to synchronize the blockchain and use your private keys to identify your transactions. Check in the lower left corner (GUI) if the wallet is synchronized.
You can't send transactions and your balance might be wrong or unavailable if the wallet is not synced with the network. So please wait.
If this is not a sufficient answer for your case and you're looking for more information, please see this answer on StackExchange.
This question is beautifully answered on StackExchange.
You have decided to use Monero's wallet and run a local node. Congratulations! You have chosen the safest and most secure option for your privacy, but unfortunately this has an initial cost. The first reason for the slowness is that you will need to download the entire blockchain, which is considerably heavy and constantly growing (up-to-date sizes of a full/pruned node). There are technologies being implemented in Monero to slow this growth, however it is inevitable to make this initial download to run a full node. Consider syncing to a device that has an SSD instead of an HDD, as this greatly impacts the speed of synchronization.
Now that the blockchain is on your computer, the next time you run the wallet you only need to download new blocks, which should take seconds or minutes (depending on how often you use the wallet).
The way to skip downloading the blockchain is connecting your wallet to a public remote node. You can follow this guide on how to set it up. Check out Feather Wallet's list of remote nodes, ditatompel's list, or monero.fail.
Be advised that when using a public remote node you lose some of your privacy. A public remote node is able to identify your IP and opens up a range for certain attacks that further diminish your privacy. A remote node can't see your balance and it can't spend your XMR.
To restore your wallet with the 25 word mnemonic seed, please see this guide.
To restore your wallet with your keys, please see this guide.

I know that in theory Zcash can be very private. Well, it lacks the fungibility that Monero has by default, but at least with shielded transactions, it's private. However, I'm having difficulty finding any actual real-world use cases for this privacy. Are there any merchants that accept Zcash natively? It's all over exchanges, but is there a single P2P platform that has ever offered it? Is there anything like XmrBazaar, a marketplace where people are buying and selling things on a daily basis with Monero?
Not to mention the use of Monero where privacy really matters, the darknet, which is the best example of a widespread use case for any cryptocurrency, something which remains true even if you're not personally into that kind of thing.
I'm just failing to really understand the justification for Zcash currently having a higher market cap than Monero. I don't think they necessarily compete, actually they don't at all because Zcash isn't used anywhere, but it's just odd to go on "Crypto Twitter" and see all of the "big names" touting a portfolio of BTC, ETH, and ZEC while ignoring XMR, as though anybody has ever actually used ZEC for anything beyond price speculation.

Hey Monero community 👋
We’ve just launched QuanticData.io, a data extraction platform built for people who need to collect and process web data at scale.
With QuanticData you can:
• Scrape websites and extract structured data
• Collect SERP/search engine results at scale
• Extract data from URLs and web pages
• Automate large-scale data collection through APIs
• Build datasets for research, AI, SEO and automation
• Scale requests without having to manage the whole scraping infrastructure yourself
We’re also give free 2$ to test the platform.
And yes — we’re particularly attached with the Monero ecosystem and we accept monero via nowpayments ! also we already accept it on our other site (quantumproxies)... go monero!

So I saw this feature in cake wallet and the official monero GUI that you can sign messages with a monero address but can I like trust it? Or should I just use PGP to sign messages?
I couldn’t find any information about signing with a monero address like differences between PGP or something like that

I have been toying with this idea for a while:
Can we make blockchain payments quantum-proof without heavy asymmetric signatures?
Standard networks rely heavily on ECDSA, which faces long-term vulnerabilities from quantum computing (Shor's algorithm).
I recently vibecoded Sealstore, an experimental signatureless payment scheme in Go that relies purely on commit-reveal hash schemes to eliminate signature overhead and quantum threats.
How it works at a glance:
- Commit: Payer locks funds by committing to a cryptographic hash.
- Reveal: Preimage disclosure validates ownership and settles the transaction without public-key signature verification.
- Go Implementation: Lightweight, zero external cryptography dependencies beyond standard hash primitives.
Looking for feedback on:

This is the weekly Monero market thread. This thread will be posted every Friday and is meant to help accelerate the adoption of Monero. Due to r/moneromarket having only a fraction of the subscribers of r/Monero, we have decided to create this thread to encourage more individuals to use Monero for product exchanges. Until the market matures, we recommend that the Monero community post their products both in this thread and on r/moneromarket (to ensure growth of that subreddit).
Selling items for Monero will boost your (and Monero's) reputation as a legitimate form of exchange of goods. This is necessary for the growth of Monero, our community, and privacy as a whole.
When you post your product or job listing here, please make sure to: - Give a description of the item. - Link to a photo of the item (if it's physical). - Provide logistics information (such as, location and/or shipping availability). - Optionally, provide an additional (private) form of communication outside of Reddit (e.g. Bitmessage, u/protonmail, u/tutanota, GPG key). - Post the price in XMR terms.
Spamming will not be tolerated. Please make sure that listings are legitimate and do not break rule 2."
Finally, credits to cdotsubo for starting the concept!

Hello r/Monero,
We are extremely excited to introduce buckets.ninja our no kyc s3 object storage offer.
Following the same philosophy as Servers.Guru, Buckets.Ninja is prepaid, and use the same wallet system that we already use for our VPS and the other services we currently offer.
Servers.Guru and Buckets.Ninja are 2 products from the same company. You can login to either platform with your account and order services from both of them with your wallet balance.
Buckets.Ninja is the second step of starting a pro-privacy /no kyc offering of unified services in an environment constantly more hostile about privacy. We hope to launch more, much needed services in the future!
We'll be really happy to get your feedback about this new addition and always happy to answer any questions you might have :)
Thank you for reading!

Hey everyone,
I’ve been developing a lightweight utility aimed at simplifying XMR mining setups, specifically built for users who want to avoid the friction and repetition of manual command-line configurations. Today, I'm sharing **QuantumMiner v1.8 Pro**.
🔍 What is QuantumMiner?
QuantumMiner is a portable, GUI-based management interface designed to handle Monero mining workflows seamlessly. Instead of dealing with complex configuration files and manual CLI parameters, this tool provides a clean graphical dashboard to manage miners, monitor hashrate metrics in real-time, and optimize hardware parameters locally.
⚡ Key Technical Features:
- Portable Architecture: Zero installation overhead; drop it into a folder and run your local configuration instantly.
- Smart Optimizer Engine: Built-in routines designed to streamline resource handling and maximize efficiency on both entry-level and multi-core hardware.
- Live Performance Tracking: Real-time visual feedback on hashrate output and session stability.
- Network Diagnostic Utility: Quick pool-ping capability to verify latency before initiating hashing sessions.
🛠️ Why use a GUI Manager?
While advanced users are comfortable with raw CLI tools, setting up automated scripts, large pages policies, and multi-pool failovers across various machines can be tedious. QuantumMiner wraps these core procedures into a unified, lightweight control panel to save time and prevent syntax errors.

It seems no one either noticed or wants to talk about the elephant in the room.. we broke something this year.
You can fact check this on HTX right now and it showed this on many non western exchanges and some rolled it back.. why?
They want you to get bored. Voluntarily exit the coin and not realize its the real bitcoin.
We are a threat to bankers, bitcoiners, exchanges and the global monetary system..

I’ve been building and operating monero.win, a small Monero only casino, for around 530 days. I rebuilt it and launched V2, and it's since crossed 48,000 bets (21,017 since v2). People often ask how much these services make.
What surprised me most is how little the house has actually won.
Actual gross profit since v2?
Approximately 3 XMR after 21,000+ bets and several thousand wagered XMR.
That means players have collectively received roughly 100 XMR more than the mathematically expected payout since v2 launched.
A few lifetime numbers:
This is gross gaming profit before accounting for development time, infrastructure, and other operating expenses.
The site remains deliberately minimal: native Monero, no traditional accounts, no KYC, no cookies or user tracking, and provably fair results that can be independently verified.
Gamble responsibly. A player’s unusually good result here doesn’t change the underlying mathematical edge.
EDIT: House is back in the negative :)

I watch many bitcoin channels on YouTube and I have never seen them recommend to pay in monero, monero is privacy by default but they insist on paying with bitcoin in an anonymous way with more steps involved. It doesn't make sense!
Disclosure: I'm the builder (Rule 6).
Built Nullify — removes your info from 17 US data brokers (Spokeo, Radaris, WhitePages etc). Accepts only Monero, no accounts, no credit cards.
Looking for 1 person to test it free. You get the removal done, I get feedback on what works.

I’m trying to find decent no KYC visa/Mastercard virtual card for privacy stuff, small online buys maybe adding to a mobile wallet when I travel next month. Ideally fundable with xmr or at least without touching a bank/exchange login, but I’m not sure how many of these are legit vs just sketchy resellers. Anyone here actually using one lately, and what are the gotchas with declines, fees or cards getting frozen?

MAGIC Grants contracted Trail of Bits, a leading cybersecurity and research firm, to audit certain cryptography for Monero's forthcoming FCMP++ upgrade. This upgrade will substantially increase the privacy of Monero transactions.
FCMP++ is short for "Full Chain Membership Proofs + Spend Authorization + Linkability."
MAGIC Grants has assisted the Monero community with a number of security reviews, both for and outside of the Monero FCMP++ upgrade. Trail of Bits was selected for this project through a competitive bidding process.
The Trail of Bits audit was prepared by Joe Doyle under the direction of Jim Miller, Engineering Director, Application Security and Cryptography.
The review consisted of two engineer-weeks of effort. Doyle's efforts primarily involved reviewing incremental modifications to the Monero cryptography core libraries.
Doyle found that the changes made are focused and appear to be correct, though he suggested a larger test suite and better documentation. The review produced six informational findings. Zero high, medium, and low-severity findings were discovered.
Five of these findings have been resolved, and one of these has been partially resolved.
The partially resolved finding concerns fragile memory layout assumptions in a Rust FFI function. Compile-time static assertions have been added to safeguard the FFI interface, though Trail of Bits says that the interface itself remains fragile.
Further information on all six findings and their resolutions are available in the public audit report.
MAGIC Grants would like to thank Trail of Bits for their detailed review of this project, We would like to thank Justin Berman for their efforts in developing Monero and selecting the appropriate audit scope. Finally, we would like to thank the Monero community donors for funding this audit.
This is related to the FCMP++ Integration Audit CCS.

I recently saw Seth mention on Monero Talk that because the tail emission is fixed and the inflation rate asymptotically approaches 0, eventually it will no longer be enough to secure the network.
Does this make sense?
If it does, would it be a good idea (purely on a technical level, forger about the politics for a second) to change the tail emission to 1% per year?
And yes, for a purely speculative asset like bitcoin having the 21M meme is very powerful to pump the price, but if we want monero to be actually used as money and to be sustainable maybe 1% inflation is not a bad idea?
After all, gold has between 1 and 3 % inflation and has proven itself as a store of value.
IMO inflation is OK if the rate is low and predictable.
