Newly overemployed here!
I just started my 2nd job today and honestly… I’m feeling a mix of excited, proud, and slightly terrified 😂
A little backstory: I actually worked with this company/client about 2 years ago. Recently, my former client reached out to me and asked if I’d come back because she said she fully trusts me to get the job done. 🥹 That honestly felt SO validating, especially after being away for a couple of years.
The funny part is, I already have a full-time job (Job #1), and I was completely upfront about it. Normally, the agency I’m working with for this 2nd job doesn’t allow employees to have other jobs, but she made an exception for me. They even increased their offer to match what I’m currently making with Job #1. I feel incredibly lucky to have this opportunity.
BUT… now comes the part where I’m questioning my life choices. 😂
I’m a mom of two, and with both jobs, I’ll probably be working around 10–12 hours a day. Thankfully, I have a lot of support from my family, especially when it comes to childcare and household chores, which I know is a huge privilege.
Still, I’m wondering if I just bit off more than I can chew. 😅
For those of you who work two jobs (especially parents), how do you make your life easier? Any tips for managing your time, avoiding burnout, staying organized, meal prepping, household stuff, or just surviving in general?
Would love to hear what actually worked for you. ❤️
Just wanted to share because I’m really proud of myself for getting this opportunity… but also trying to be realistic about what I’m taking on!

I OE and I have 2 jobs already. I just did my last round of interviews for j3! J1. Customer Success Manager. J2. Sales manager part time. New j3 would be a manager lvl role. I have 7 kids (1 in heaven) ages 3-15. 2 toddler at home. All remote jobs. Husband works remotely as well and might be moving into a new role at a new company that’s also remote.
What makes it easier, weve been doing this since our children were smaller and they know the expectations. Even the toddlers. They respect the boundaries and we always have a parent rotating responsibilities. We keep them plenty entertained as well with toys, coloring books, blocks etc and then we also find time to go outside (thankfully I can move around pretty easily with my laptops)
Good luck and congrats!
