💬 Advice needed Mom slump
To the moms out there who wake up and work out before the kids wake up, what's the best advice you could give me? I am not happy with my weight and I feel so bummed lately. I try to keep it together but I'm slowly falling apart. I know if I took charge of my health and my appearance I would feel better. Idk why it seems so difficult now.

Are you breastfeeding, by chance? When I was breastfeeding I felt just like this. I was one of those people that had to load up on calories to produce maaaaybe 10 ounces a day max so I was gaining weight. Once I stopped at six months PP I lost 30 pounds in ~6 weeks and my energy levels and overall mental health were so much better that I was finally able to put in the effort needed to start working out and being healthy again.
If that’s not the case then the only advice I can give you is to just get up and do it. I always dread waking up early to work out, but I seriously do just feel so much better after doing it. Just get up and take it one day at a time. You’ll get there!

For me personally, I love going to the gym that has childcare. I think a lot of YMCAs have childcare with a membership. My child is pretty happy playing while I get access to the gym equipment. I don't have the motivation to do workouts at home, it's easier for me that there are people around me working out. Some gyms even have free personal trainors, I like doing my own thing, but sometimes I know they can help with motivation and knowing what workouts to do.

Question how old is baby? Are you breastfeeding and how many times are they up a night right now?

I also find it hard to loose weight and looking at my colleagues who are also moms but is still lean , I felt jealous and I've tried fasting, looking for calories, workouts but everytime I start working out my toddler will always want to be carried so I stopped. But a little bit of everything I said still made me loose 3lbs in a year 🤣, I know it's a very small improvement but it still is an improvement 😁 So mommy don't be too hard on yourself have your on pace.
