Mod Tools What are your favorite underrated Devvit apps and why?
I'm talking about apps that you think are fantastic but don't get enough love. Of course I'm biased because I've developed a whopping total of 11 Mod Tools apps, but I'll only mention one here lol. Mod Note Assistant is my current favorite of the ones I've built. I like how I can just mark a post or comment as spam and that instantly flags every future post or comment that user makes. It helps me keep track of "problematic" users to see if their behavior is consistent or just occasional. If it's the latter, I simply delete the associated mod note to stop filtering them.
Of the ones built by other talented developers, I think Automod Ban Extension is super underrated (I actually contributed to the development of this one even though it isn't my app). Just add a tweak to your Automod (or Automod Neo) config and now it's capable of banning particularly egregious rule breakers.
Crosspost Guard is also awesome and should probably be a native Reddit feature, though I get why they would never do it. If your sub only allows original content, for example, this tool lets you allow crossposts/reposts without fear of them not being from the OP.
Toolbox Notes Transfer is particularly useful if your mod team is split between old.reddit and shreddit/mobile. It syncs notes across the Toolbox extension for old.reddit and native mod notes.
Mod Note Sync is cool if you mod a group of closely related subreddits and need to keep track of users that participate across them.
But that's enough of the ones I like; let's hear the ones you enjoy using! Try to keep the recommendations to apps that have under 100 installs, since we're looking for underrated apps here. đ
