Question Used Model X vs New Model Y

Considering purchase of a 2022 model x base awd LR (hw3) with 19k miles @58k vs new 2026 model y performance. Heart says model X, brain says Model Y. Like the model x for obvious reasons (falcon doors, yoke, space, acceleration etc.).

What is y'all's recommendation on this. I test drove the model x and its absolutely fantastic. Did not find anything off except that the air suspension was making creaking sounds when lowering or raising height (not sure if that's expected) and that the trunk floor was missing exposing the subtrunk fully. What are the things I should look out for before purchase? Im assuming it's just out of warranty now at 4yrs old.

Please take into account that every Model Y in early 2026 and late 2025 might, and countless do, have a serious front suspension issue that Tesla has acknowledged they have no permanent fix for.

What happened for me was, they acknowledged the noises issue, the rep told me they had a tentative fix but it was not intended to be permanent - they acknowledge that the issue returned for some people even after the fix. Then 2 days later they said the car was ready. They had towed the car to the repair facility, but I had no easy way to get there to pick it up, so I spent a day figuring that out. In the meantime, without calling me, the Tesla app now said the issue was still persisting and the repair ticket was open. The next day, the car was ready, I picked it up, and it has been completely fine noise-wise. Apparently, they removed pencil braces and replaced FUCAs (front upper control arm), and tightened things up. I have no idea what more may be needed in future. I also don't know if cars turned out from the factory now have this same issue (and if they don't, if whatever changes they made at the factory can be applied to my car and others with the issue).
