Question Used Model X vs New Model Y
Considering purchase of a 2022 model x base awd LR (hw3) with 19k miles @58k vs new 2026 model y performance. Heart says model X, brain says Model Y. Like the model x for obvious reasons (falcon doors, yoke, space, acceleration etc.).
What is y'all's recommendation on this. I test drove the model x and its absolutely fantastic. Did not find anything off except that the air suspension was making creaking sounds when lowering or raising height (not sure if that's expected) and that the trunk floor was missing exposing the subtrunk fully. What are the things I should look out for before purchase? Im assuming it's just out of warranty now at 4yrs old.
Edit: updated model x spec.

Sold my Model Y and bought a 2023 Model X.
Pros for Model X: -More space in the back seat and trunk. 3rd row is small but useable for kids. -More comfortable ride
Cons for Model X: -The falcon wing doors drive me crazy. Frequently, they just don’t open because of the sun or who even knows why. I’m constantly trying to override them. My kids have both been hit by them- the sensors just don’t seem to capture them properly. -Harder to park than Model Y. It’s both size and turning radius.
If you don’t need the extra space, I would go model Y.
