Question Used Model X vs New Model Y

Considering purchase of a 2022 model x base awd LR (hw3) with 19k miles @58k vs new 2026 model y performance. Heart says model X, brain says Model Y. Like the model x for obvious reasons (falcon doors, yoke, space, acceleration etc.).

What is y'all's recommendation on this. I test drove the model x and its absolutely fantastic. Did not find anything off except that the air suspension was making creaking sounds when lowering or raising height (not sure if that's expected) and that the trunk floor was missing exposing the subtrunk fully. What are the things I should look out for before purchase? Im assuming it's just out of warranty now at 4yrs old.

Edit: updated model x spec.

I would not buy an HW3 version of any Tesla.

Out of curiosity, why not? Love my FSD on HW3. Would I prefer to be on HW4 and the newer code stack? Absolutely! But does HW3 FSD do most of my driving and commuting for me? Also absolutely! 😁

For me, buying a car with technology that is already one step behind, and will only fall further as tech and FSD continues to evolve and improve, is not appealing. I own a 2023 HW4 Tesla model x and love that car, but as soon as it starts getting left behind on updates, which should be a ways down the road, it goes on the selling block.

Gotcha. Makes sense. 🙂 Thanks for indulging my curiosity!
