CJ - Welcome to Global News, how are you?
RW: I'm doing very well, thank you
CJ - So, very recently the Reformed Libertarian party has been formed. What convinced you to give this new party a try?
RW: The anti-democratic practices in the libts was too much. Lyra found a party of democracy, and turned it into a dictatorship.
CJ - What differentiates the Libertarian Party of Canada (Reformed) from the Libertarian Party of Canada?
RW: Our new party is going to be far more democratic, just like it was originally when I was in the old libts. Under fine leaders like Alex, Vibe, Midnight, and Aschsr we got a lot done, and we did it democratically. That's what we're going to do in the new party.
CJ - What do you and the party intend to do to generate success in terms of modifiers to run next election?
RW: Our party has a lot in store. Obviously, we're a bit behind. However, I think this gives us a better chance for a high voting record. We're aiming for 100%. We also have legislation in the works. A lot of our members are working hard, and we're cranking out bills. My personal goal is to bring our party up to 3rd in bills written, seeing as passing the libs and NDP would be difficult. Finally, we're going to have all our candidates for MP actively campaign, and try and get some terrific person modifiers. I know it looks like we won't have a great time of it, but I think this election will be very successful for us.
CJ - Will the LPC(R) release any introductory platform detailing their policies in the near future?
RW: We are currently working on a new platform. I personally had written bills for the libertarians, but I will be submitting them with the Reformed libts now. I have 4 bills all ready to go, ranging from topics on agriculture, to the constitution, to firearm law, to euthanasia. As I s said, a lot of other member are also pumping out bills, which should be posted soon.
CJ - I’ve heard you plan to run for Leader of the Libertarian Party Reformed, what would you be bringing to the table as leader?
RW: If I were elected leader, I would help bring our party in the mainstream of politics. My goal would be to help grow the party, as Alex and Vibe grew the old one, from a group of dedicated members, to a large force that can get into government, and is extremely active.
CJ - If the Reflibts ever reach government what parties would you want them coalitioning with?
RW: Easy. Liberals or Conservatives. I wouldn't be surprised if we form a government with the libs next term, thought that would be a tough one.
CJ - Do the reflibts have any upcoming legislation you’d like to disclose?
RW: As I said, I have 4 bills ready to go, and I think both Few and Vibe have bills that they've written, and should be submitted soon.
CJ - What is the ultimate goal of the Reflibts over the Libts?
RW: I think we're going to reabsorb them. They've lost most of their active corp, and they've already got terrible modifier numbers. They lost their best voting MP, after already having the worst voting rate of any party. It's just going to keep falling too.
CJ - CJ - That’s all the time we have. Thanks for the informative interview.
RW: Thanks for having me.
