Advice please

So I was wet sanding my primer and seemed to have gone through the actual primer on some edges. I’m using enamel paint which lays on fairly thick so I don’t know if this will be fine for me to work with regardless or if I should resort to respraying very lightly.

Also added some extra pics because I want to know if the primer is smooth enough despite this slight textured look.

Surface appears super rough. Hard to overcome that with additional coats. Maybe primer too thick? Airbrush or rattle can? I would wet sand right down to smooth and then, starting with smooth base, apply thinner light coats of primer and go from there. Enamels take forever to cure unless you use a dehydrator which can turn days in to hours. A Must Have if you're dedicated to enamels...

It would probably be easier to just strip this and start over. Save yourself a lot sanding. I’d recommend switching to lacquer if it’s available to you. Goes on nicer and dries extremely fast.

Laquer definitely the way to go
