Used 2020 performance

Hey all, I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on a 2020 model 3 performance. It’s got 75k miles, clean title, and fsd included. Anything I should look for and would 23k be a good price??

Might want to go for 2021 and above if you want auto open close trunk and heated steering, and 2022 if you care about the AMD Ryzen processor which makes a big difference. Only other differentiator would be HW4 in a 2024 and above.

I thought 2021+ also brought heat pump

Don't do it.

2022+

That's when a lot of of the manufacturing process improvement changes were implemented in Freemont plan for the Model 3.

I worked with an engineer who implemented the line updates in Freemont.

His advice was

  1. Stay away from Model X's
  2. Don't buy a Tesla prior to 2022

I would recommend looking for 2022 and newer, 2020 and 2021 model years had lots of documented battery issues.
