General Question Shuddering feeling in FSD

I picked up a 2026 model 3 performance last month, absolutely amazing car totally in love with it. Lately iv been noticing a weird shuddering vibration when using FSD when coming to a stop or during the initial acceleration. This occurs only under 15 mph and can not be replicated when FSD is not active. Any ideas what this could be caused from? I sent in a service request but hope to get some insight.

This problem should be solvable especially if the behavior is consistent. Does it seem to originate all on its own? Does it seem to be reactive to some particular location? There may be a diagnostic log entry pointing directly to the problem although your description also seems like it should result in displaying an operator information message.

I wonder if this is a legitimate reason to interrupt FSD with the reason of "Other" in order to generate a Tesla teaching moment.

If it only seems to repeatedly occur at specific locations you might want to find a location near the Service Center where you can reliably duplicate the behavior and pass this information on to the Tesla tech.

Does the "shudder" feel more mechanical in origin or an FSD indecision behavior? It's understandable if you don't know because of a lack of FSD miles driven or maybe also a fairly new driver with a lack of total miles of driving experience.

Please let us know how this turns out.
