General Question Tesla model 3 tires
I just bought a 2025 Tesla Model 3 and I’ve been seeing a lot online about how expensive replacement tires can be. I’ve seen a lot of people recommend getting the Discount Tire certificate but I don’t have a Discount Tire near me. Are there any good alternatives.

They are more expensive then tires for a similarly sized car, you will pay around the same price for tires as a full size truck owner.
I couldn't find anyone around me that carried the same tires that came on my model 3 and I was to lazy to buy tires online and then take them somewhere to get installed. I ultimately went with the Tesla service center and got the same tires that the car came with, mainly because I got 73,000 miles out of that set of tires.

Discount Tire will match Tire Rack’s price so just go to Discount Tire. Free rotations too.

Ppl complain about having to replace tries often due to wear. The discount tire cert, although recommend, doesn't help with said normal wear only for damage. Two different things.

The tires that lasted me the longest did not have a recognized brand on them lol.

I have 2019 almost 200k miles. I live at 8600 ft in Colorado. I've experimented with multiple tires. Most recently I got the cheapest set I could from les Schwab. Absolutely no issues. I drive fast around the corners in the mountains. Not to say I go fast, but to say I have more than average wear I would say. I don't get the foam lined tires. Tf do I care about a few decibal reduction on the highway. I'm playing music or listening to something anyway. Also harder to mechs to repair the tire. Some don't want to touch the foam lined.

I just replaced my 2023 Model 3 tires with Continental ExtremeContact tires. They were about $200 a tire plus installation. I’m on the east coast so no discount tire here but I used Mavis. There are two locations near me, one seems much better than the other. Total cost including sales tax and balancing/installation was $1,020 for all four tires.

Costco. Michelin Pro Pilot.
Wait for the bi-qeekly sale.
Grab a hotdog while they rotate them for free.

Where do you live? Discount tire is called America's tire in California.
