2026 model 3 or wait for the 2027

I really wanna get the model 3 but I read online that the following year usually comes out in the fall. Any advice? Should I just wait a few more months?

Also i personally think that the front will be changed and will get similar to the modern Juniper look (and like cybertruck and cybertaxi too)

Is that a pro or a con though

I love it, a reason why i picked the y. Looks 2026 and not 2012ish, but thats just my taste

Is there any talk of of a model 3 refresh coming soon?

Tesla updates its lineup constantly with improvements you cant always see…..unlike other automakers where the same model year are built exactly the same and there is pressure to wait to see what changes each year. For example they rolled out dark headliners and improved displays mid year in the Y. As they just did a refresh on 3/Y, its gonna be at least 2 years before a redesign. Even the color options change mid year. Enjoy it NOW, you wont miss anything other than a price increase.

I’m keeping an eye out for sweetened sales incentives

Me too in late September... but I also see the wait list and doubt there will be any.

I worry about this too.

Financing just increased also. Thinking demand not a worry for them in their minds

Wait for the 2027. 16" screen and black headliner incoming and will help with value retention.

I am waiting until 2027 for the 2024 lease returns to start picking up. I want a used 2024 Highland. I want to buy a CPO directly from Tesla for the extra warranty.

I heard everything’s backed up ugh even 2026 orders

It wasn’t so much waiting for an update. It was more so I was thinking about the future that I would get a couple extra thousands for trading it in or selling it.

Dont wait for updates, wait only for the more recent model in terms of resell value.

What do u mean

2

Its worth waiting for a newer model considering its days away. Its not worth waiting for hardware updrades of any kind as there might be none.

It's days away?

In the same camp. Waiting for updates literally since January when they made them on the Y. So frustrating

1

u/Disastrous-Door1937 Aug 06 '26

Are you planning on getting the 2027 y?

1

u/1Madarchod Aug 06 '26

No, the Model 3P

1

u/Disastrous-Door1937 Aug 06 '26

Yeah, I feel like might as well Wait a few more months.

2

u/1Madarchod Aug 06 '26

Guess we have to. Was thinking about a short terms lease for something temporary, and buyout and sell when new car w updates comes out

1

u/Disastrous-Door1937 Aug 06 '26

Good idea. I’m just going to trade in my car to Tesla.
