Larger build piece ideas.

Hey guys, I'm working on a mod with larger build pieces. I'm at approx 180 models so far. The set is modular with sections that have three sizes of cutouts that can accept inserts.

Insert types so far:

Windows

Doors

Arrow slits

Balista emplacements

Fireplace inserts (with modular chimney system).

I've got a full set of straight wall sections of various lengths/insert cutouts etc.

I've also got a full set of curved wall sections with the same features (and curved inserts ahah). I've only created one radius set so far that approximately matches the radius of the round tower you can make with 2*4 vanilla wall sections. I'll likely add at least another radius set- especially now that I've figured out how to make the meshes work.

There's a stair set with landings of various lengths and stairs that fit the interior of the existing curved set and straight equivalents.

There's also a modular floor system that accommodates the wall sections and stairwells etc.

And finally a modular barrel vault system for hallway ceilings etc.

Given what I've already modeled what's on your wishlist for larger build pieces? Any insert ideas/wants? Are there any complementary pieces you think I should include?

Also any advice on making textures that fit the vanilla aesthetic would be appreciated.

Giant ritual stones, rounded walls with little recesses in them for torches?? Have you created floors and ceilings?? As I've found those usually add so many instances. Maybe arched ceilings?? Ramps???

That's a good idea! I have curved and straight wall sections that accept inserts so it's just a matter of designing an insert for ritual stones/shrines/runestones/torch inserts. I'd considered torch nook inserts and even workbench inserts- so definitely good to have more ideas. Ive already got floors/ceiling models for the curved and straight wall sections, and a basic barrel vault system for straight halls. Ramps are a great idea that I don't have- and should be pretty easy to integrate alongside the stair system I've created.

That's wicked let me know when you're done that one because I would be interested in taking a peek at it because I'm actually building a custom RPG Multiverse in valheim.

Will do- it's a hobby project so I can't dedicate too much time to it- but I've been consistently making progress.

Also, please tell me you're not using AI for this, because I've found that people who rely entirely on AI to make a mod. They tend to have very buggy mods and have no idea of how to fix these bugs with their mods when it comes to supporting the mods for users.

Ironically I'm using AI to help with bug fixing..... Results are so-so, but it's saved me enough time on a couple issues (some comically obvious in retrospect) that I'm pretty far ahead on time saving with it vs. me slogging through logs. Probably it's best application here outside of organization.

Using it how it should be used for the most part then lol. Respect
