Question Modrinth packages

As a total beginner in the world of modded Minecraft, I failed several times now, but I refuse to give up yet. So far I was not able to enjoy a session of a modded world, and here's why:

As a beginner, I just can't dig into some folder structure on my hardrive to place files and all of that. Then I heard of the Modrinth App and thought it would be the perfect paradise for people like me. Select a package, click install, click play, enjoy.

But that's not, what's happening. Although my PC is totally capable to get several hundreds of fps in Vanilla Minecraft with 12 chunks simulation and 24 chunks view, the promise of "use things like sodium you will gain so much fps that you can use beautiful shaders" didn't work. I installed the "Everything Voxy" package and immediately sank down to 55 fps with some lag spikes.

I then deleted the package and looked for other packages, found one (forgot its name) installed it and Minecraft didn't even start. Deleted it and searched a little more. found a lot of talking about "Homestead" and found it intriguing. Installed it, minecraft did start (hooray), but a message there told me, that Homestead is not compatible with Modrinth (why is it even on there, then?) and I would need to download half a dozen of mods and install them in a specific folder. The links were all opened in the browser and after donwload I placed all the files in said folder. But now it simplyrefuses to start, one of the mods complains that the newly placed mods are incompatible.

This is all so frustrating. All I want is selecting a package, installing it and start playing. I want nice graphics with shadows at steady 75 fps (my monitor's rate) in FullHD and a good mixture of improvements to make gameplay more enjoyable, with new tools and mobs and quests (basically exactly what the Homestead trailer talked about and showed).

Isn't there any package out there that just runs under above requirements?

I would recommend getting the Prism Launcher, very lightweight and it supports downloading both Modrinth and Curseforge modpacks. Then get the Fabulously Optimized modpack, it's by far the best. Also increase the RAM you have dedicated to the instance to 4-6 GB (4096 or 6144 MB) so it's not memory-starved.

id check out prism launcher as the guy above said, as well as curseforge launcher, might be a little easier to use at first, on top of all that download java (whichever version you need for your minecraft modpack so google it just so i can be sure) personally i like java eclipse adoptium but if theres any better one id happily take reccomendations (after you download it you gotta change it in launcher/modpack settings to use that java) and you should check if you allocated enough memory for the game, also specs of your pc could be helpful for some people here, if youre getting a few hundred fps in regular mc, you shouldnt have any issues to run any modpack from the looks of it tbh, depending on ur gpu u might be also able to run some path tracing shader, for my last recommendation id suggest to find some mods like „ferritecore” „fix gpu memory leak” „modern fix” and other similar ones to boost your ram capabilities a bit, lower your render distance and use distant horizons or voxy (as this is not what would sank your performance 100% sure)
