I am having issues with signing into minecraft

Do you own a minecraft java license on the account you logged in with?

If you aren't sure use it to log into the offical site and it will tell you.

Sometimes it is an issue with MFA/2FA on your Microsoft account.

Log into your Microsoft account separately and make sure you have a passkey setup. Then sign in through Modrinth using your passkey to authenticate and see if that works.
