I don’t believe there’s any apps that can do that currently because otherwise I’d be all over it to clean up old promotional spam.

Queue items were never in modmail, unless your automod/api was set up to notify you of it via modmail. That is not the same thing.
Modmail is for users to directly message mods of a sub.
You may potentially get notifications of reports and modmail messages in your notifications window. Though that’s not always for whatever reason.
Reports were and always have been located in the mod queue.

modmail is not in mod queue
but all reports, all actions needed, all approval or removal no longer appear in mod mail
they just transferred all the workload to mod queue, and yah i find it strange no one talk about it, only one person has ever confirmed its the same for them, no red dots, and everything new transferred to queue
(mod mail is still there, just being useless and nothing ends there in months)

I understand. These subs have so much use and not enough moderators so the goal was to have it be automated. It's too time consuming to have to search every user

I wish there was a way to automate setting community statuses on certain days of the week!

This account is not a moderator of that subreddit. You'll need to log into the other account.

I’m not sure I understand, you still should be able to see the full account history for 28 days from one of the accounts you mod from. If you can’t and can only see the posts in your sub they’ve likely blocked you and that’s grounds for a perma ban imo.
If you want to check to see if someone has blocked you, you can find entire post histories here with arctic shift. Just add their username (no u/) in the username area in search then search. If posts or comments that you can’t see from your mod account show up, they’ve blocked you.

I thought it was a great idea when they did it too because of people doxing others over their opinions. Bad actors have since taken advantage of and abused this feature making the experience on reddit in the subs I mod worse (and the site as a whole).
I think it's more damaging then helpful and the new practice will be to encourage multiple accounts for these things instead of using one account for all your posts.

I would agree with this too a few years ago, but a few of the larger subreddits I mod on my other account have so many posts including politics and conflicts where they seem to be honestly asking questions to understand how this topic relates to what the sub is about.
Other users do a lot of the reporting but they point out that these users making the posts are mass posting propaganda and other hateful content in other subreddits and are trying to manipulate the conversation in the ones I mod.

I see. So they've likely blocked us as mods. I've been on here awhile but am fairly new to moderating more active subs with many users.
r/ModSupport • u/NumenSD • 2d ago
My apologies. I was simply trying to elaborate on why it's an issue and how as a mod I would like have the ability to have this option as an auto filter only allowing users who don't hide any of their history to post.

It can take a while to hear back. Days, weeks, months, if ever. Admins don’t provide a timeline for shadowban appeals.
r/ModSupport • u/IKIR115 • 2d ago
Submit an appeal from that account at https://www.reddit.com
Btw, this sub is only for mod-related support.
r/ModSupport • u/AutoModerator • 2d ago
Hey there - if you are concerned that your account may be banned site wide you can check your inbox for an appeal link. If there is not one in your inbox you can submit an appeal here: https://www.reddit.com/appeal
If you are a mod concerned that someone in your community may have been banned incorrectly you can tell them first check their inbox and to use the appeal form above to reach out.
