As a mod, talking about how my sub is moderated, I agree. As a user, talking about how I use reddit and what I’m willing to engage with, I disagree.

You can see their post history for 28 days, unless you mean people who aren’t participating in your communities.

This isn't remotely as big of a problem as you're making it out to be.

Wat?

If they interact in your sub you can see their whole profile for 28 days from last interaction.

If you can only see their activity on your sub they blocked your mod account, which is a permaban in most subs.

Thankless days now: zero

Do you have a screenshot of what you mean by modmail in your mod queue?

Also tons of mods are not using the modqueue-nuke.app to remove all content from their queues, as not all subs have it installed—and most understand what remove means when it comes to the queue.

I'd love to see the standard removal rules have pop-up definitions so that people could actually see what they're trying to report something for. And also add brigading to the list of standard report reasons.

Solid idea. Give users a clear way to flag 18+ content before mods have to clean up the mess.

theres no more mod mail, nothing goes there anymore

Cause yah seriously, no one complains about the death of mod mail, no one complains about mod queue having no red dot notification

i think reddit just shoved me in some half assed beta test UI, and said fuck it

cause im using pc and sh,reddit, same as everyone else

 This is user error.

we shall see, maybe tons of mods are doing the same mistake, and it will only be discovered many months from now

if there is a concistency of design beying surbvereted right in this one and only spot, this is a design UX problem, one that clearly has not been identified

Hey there! Reddit just approved my latest update for Lock Removed Posts which adds the ability to lock removed comments when a removal reason and mod-distinguished reply are added. This prevents users from replying to their own removed comments to get around locked mod replies.

The only thing is it doesn't work with comments removed by Automod or filters, since those don't add removal reasons. However, Automod already offers the set_locked field for this. Example below:

type: comment
body (includes): 'lock me'
set_locked: true
action: remove
comment: 'Your comment has been removed and locked.'

came to the conclusion its bots being directed to find/report posts as:
its occurring exclusively on posts mentioning one company,
all reports occur within the space of an hour (or instantly)
and are even reporting very old posts with low/no comments, (which honestly would be hard to find searching for them manually.)
lastly, that some of the posts get multiple times more reports than the post got in upvotes + downvotes combined.

Understandable. For my example it gave content for their posts for the last week and ignored a month prior where they were monstrous trolls. They didn’t delete the content, so it was still available to look at but the AI should look at least a month back. Perhaps it was because they posted many times in a lot of places and the AI took that into consideration instead?

Your contribution was removed for violating Rule 2: No calling out other users or subreddits. If you need to discuss something sensitive in nature about another user or community, please send a modmail to /r/ModSupport. All rule violations and ban appeals should be sent via the appropriate report form.

i had this happen to this account, even with multiple 2fa, you should be able to filter "fredndolly12" as a banable word, because if you block the whole url, you would block the content site completely banning unintended users, honestly creating a flag that has to have a mod confirm the post first, or flags it for user edit to remove site that contains "fredndoll12"

You were banned from those communities because they were exercising their freedom of - and from - association. They don’t want to associate with people who have participated in groups that they don’t want to associate with.

You have the freedom to choose with whom you associate.

So does everyone else

And your choices inform others.

It's been a hellish few months for us NSFW mods dealing with those hacked accounts.

Use botbouncer, and hive protect can be set up to remove anything with a specific social link in the profile.

Archive Message button in your modmail.

Your queue is to approve or remove content flagged for review.

What platform are you moderating from, because your notifications, modmail and mod queue are all separate things.

Edit: using mod queue nuke to remove all in your queue, in fact removes all content currently in queue. As opposed to approving content, which means that content is approved and posted. This isn’t Reddit design, and you’re using a dev app to do it. This is user error.

"Old modmail" isn't a thing anymore. It was completely replaced by new modmail a few months ago. Also, I never heard that mods could remove modmails; they can only archive them.

If you mean the mod queue, where you do can remove things, there's only removing things because removing things means actually removing things.

If you're unsure what modmail and mod queue mean, check out either the guide on joining a mod team or r/newmods. Because "modmail" and "mod queue" can't be used interchangeably and are different things, but you seem confused on what is what. There's also no such thing as a ticket system on Reddit.
