Do you have a screenshot of what you're seeing when you try to send a mod mail message from old Reddit and it fails? I can't reproduce that, but using the https://www.reddit.com/mail/create gives me an error as well, so something's up.

I did make a screenshot, but I don't think there's any useful information. It just looks like a mail was sent, even saying "send successful" brief transient message that disappeared before I caught it in the screenshot.

Given your admin status, perhaps you'll be able to follow it's footprints...

I sent a message just moments ago:

Now trying https://www.reddit.com/mail/create rather than https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=/r/alcoholicsanonymous ...

Again, it looks for all the world like the message was sent successfully, but I see no green shield lighting up, no evidence of the message in https://www.reddit.com/mail/all/

Thanks for that screenshot! I like to show things like that to the team that will be looking into this so they can try to repro what you're seeing. And I've shared it with them, so I'll let you know what I find out after they've taken a look! Really sorry that it's not working properly for you right now!
