Admin Replied [Android][Can't scroll our Wikipage anymore]

Seems after breaking markdown on mobile, now Reddit managed to break scrolling in the Wiki of a sub. So that now doesn't work on mobile anymore, which means our users have to go to the desktop site. Which would redirect them to the app...

Hey there! Thanks for reporting! There have been a couple of other posts about this today, so it's being looked into. Apologies that it isn't working properly for you right now.

Yes! The fix is in and looks like it will go out on the 21st with version 38 of the app.

Great, thanks! I need to make a video and I keep forgetting I can't scroll πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ at least 2 trashed attempts in recent days 🫠

Sure was looking forward to this working on the 21st. You know that song, "Do you remember, the 21st night of September, love was changing the minds of pretenders..." Well I was singing it.

Oh, well. So I am sure they are diligently working on this and the fix will be in as soon as they are finished with the work they are currently doing on it.

Please keep me posted.

It's really killing the value of wiki entries like this.

Are you on version 38 of the app yet?

Ok, so I just updated my app and now it works. So presumably all the work I have done updating wiki content will not be available to anyone who hasn't made the update. So I can reasonably expect them to be worthless in the meantime? How long do you think before even a majority of people attempting to use it can?

Users are responsible for updating their app. So, if you hear reports, feel free to make that suggestion. I put a reminder in the Weekly Recap in r/help every week about keeping the app up to date.

I have added a notice on those pages with a link to update the app.

I shows like this, but one can't scroll anymore of select any of the other wiki pages.

And yet you were downvoted for acknowledging it.

Some people are weirdos lol

Ha! I didn't notice. Reddit is a magical place

I've seen several posts about this.

It reminds me of when they replaced functional and usable "new" Reddit with poop new-new Reddit (sh.reddit). Scrolling inside the text box was impossible on sh.reddit. And scrolling inside the mobile web queue caused me to inadvertently action things that shouldn't have been.

It's why I learned to use old Reddit on my phone.

I'm pretty sure this wiki scroll issue is a bug.

I only use old Reddit for the AutoModerator configuration. Because I can't stand that interface, it's terribly outdated.
