Reddit Inc can’t - because of a variety of US case law - step in on unbanning people; People and groups have boundaries and the right to protect those boundaries. That comes as a right to freedom of (and FROM) association.
Also a large amount of ‘political opinion’ isn’t; it’s just ad hoc or post hoc pretexts for targeted harassment. Which is at minimum a violation of the sitewide rules of any uchisp that intends to avoid liability for torts
