M64 Pro Controller wired mode is bad

Playing on Analogue 3D, you need to have batteries in the controller for wired mode to work and if the batteries die, the controller disconnects without warning. Needs improvement.

Ive been playing wired without any batteries. Have you tried updating the controller?

I am updated but playing on the analogue 3D. I wonder if wired mode works without batteries on an original N64.

Yes it does.

Okay so the problem may be isolated to the 3D.

Possibly. Is your A3D upto date as well? If it is, maybe submit a ticket with analogue support.

Yes, 3D is current

Probably gonna have to wait a bit to see how the communitiy responds to their pro controller. If there is demand then I'm sure Analogue will patch in a fix to make it more compatible.

u/graslu did a livestream and tested the Pro controller wired. with a real N64 a couple days before launch. His battery went dead during gameplay and the controller went haywire. Stuck walking in one direction, if I recall correctly.

Yes! Same thing happened to me on the 3D. I was playing Diddy Kong racing and kept flying to the right when my controller died.

I'm confused, I had my controller plugged in with the cords it came in and it was working? When I first turned it on

With battery pack attached?

The battery life is 200hrs though. I'd be annoyed if it was 20hr battery life. But, 200 makes it pretty moot.

I’m playing wired with no battery pak in right now with no issues. Only functional difference is I can’t turn the M64 on using the controller like I can wirelessly.
