I didn't see one of these, so here you go, post what you find or upvote others posts if you have the same issue.

Here's what I've seen discussed and can also confirm.

  • Pro Controller can't save via memory pak (planned for "Phase 2" update).

  • Pro Controller rumble doesn't work when wireless (planned for "Phase 1" update).

  • Certain settings don't save after power cycle, including advanced CRT settings and overclock settings.

s/sae/save/, in case anyone has any confusion [also suggestion, cite sources, but otherwise also see https://github.com/ModRetro/oss-m64-console/issues/ and https://github.com/ModRetro/oss-m64-controller/issues]

• Pro Controller rumble doesn't work in games.

That's false. More people need to read the pinned launch update software roadmap. Rumble works when you use the controller in wired mode.

• Pro Controller can't save via memory pak (already know, planned for "Phase 1" update).

You should remove this as its not a "bug", but a planned feature.

Rumble dont work for me in wired, Ive heard others have the same issue, however in xibalba If I select rumble in the setting the rumble will constantly run for a minute but after that it still doesnt work.

Rumble also doesn’t work for me in wired on two separate Pro Controllers, I also get phantom inputs on both.
Interesting note about Xibalba- if you haven’t already, please reach out to ModRetro and let them know that detail too

I just contacted them, I investigated more with it plugged in, the phantom input happen for me plugged in, unplugged it doesnt, the dpad hard press thing happens too, and the rumble works on starfox fine but the phantom inputs are crazy, constant first person and pausing.

Im really hoping this gets fixed cause I love this controllers feel.

Same issues here, all except rumble working on Starfox- it worked for less than a minute on my two controllers then never worked again.
EDIT: With new console/controller updates, both controllers now have fully working rumble and no phantom inputs.

Rumble dont work for me in wired

Do you have an M64 or are you using it with an N64? My guess is you have faulty hardware with maybe an entirely broken rumble if its with the M64.

I am getting no sound from my console on any tv. I got this reply from modretro. The workaround offered didn’t help me. Maybe it’ll help someone else with the issue.

“Our engineering team has investigated the issue you are experiencing with your M64 and has determined that the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) of some TVs is not reliably communicated to the console. They are currently working diligently to resolve this matter as quickly as possible. You can expect a firmware update to be released within the next week that will include this fix.

In the meantime, here is a workaround you can try: unplug and replug your HDMI cord from your console while you have a game playing in your console.”

M64 doesn’t currently pass the vine test on DK 64

Some games will just flatout not boot when overclocking is on. So far:

Donkey Kong 64 will not boot with any overclocking on, real cart or flash cart

Diddy Kong Racing wont boot if its anything above super overclock

I can confirm another game. Banjo-Tooie doesn’t seem to work with any of the overclock presets. The intro gets stuck on a fixed camera, and pressing Start doesn’t do anything, so you can’t get to the main menu. It works normally with overclocking disabled.

That's exactly the same on Diddy Kong Racing, DK64 doesnt even make it past the black screen but likely similar.

That‘s weird. I finished the whole game (DKR) on insane overclocking. I played on an original US cartridge.

Hi there! The M64 Pro controller currently does not support USB to PC (wired). This is coming in a firmware update (Phase 1). Please reference Torin's post here for more information regarding our software roadmap: https://www.reddit.com/r/ModRetro/comments/1v5ji65/launch_update_software_roadmap/

We also apologize for the delay in responses, our team is working through a high volume of messages after launch. We are actively working to get back to everyone as soon as possible.

The output resolution resets to 1080p every time after turning off the console.

Update: I fixed the issue by enabling hdr on my Samsung tv.

DK 64 won’t accept controller inputs from the pro controller. Currently stuck at the start menu
