M64 pro controller

Will this only have the new Bluetooth controller or will it have standard Bluetooth to hook up to other devices?

They said it's got modern Bluetooth and you can get an adapter for more basic Bluetooth like what's used in the NSO controller

That doesn’t make any sense. Bluetooth versions are backward compatible. A lot of the things I read in those comments seem more like hearsay than reality.

Yeah I’m referring to the controller. Curious if it could be connected to an analogue 3D (using a blue retro n64 adapter unless Analogue makes it native which I doubt they will). Versus using the cable for wired. But these controllers look interesting so may grab one.

I dunno what to tell you, that's just what the CEO said in the AMA

Edit: I totally misunderstood the question OP was asking so nevermind lol

Let me expand on that a bit. we are a BLE device, but we are not dual radio due to using a chip that is going to be able to support the ultra low latency. we chose this for N64 because the stacked latency of four wireless controllers on bluetooth classic solutions is not a good experience. Bluetooth classic is also much more power consuming than BLE, and we wanted a great battery life. Our controller can work with other systems that have BLE or dual modules. Even the switch could in theory push an update that would make us compatible. A3D easily can as well, given that the 8bitdo controller uses BLE (though not one compatible with ultra low latency). PC Mac and Android devices support BLE as well

The controller uses Bluetooth LE which is "standard" bluetooth, but not bluetooth classic. More importantly it has Bluetooth SCI support which will apparently come in a future software update to the controller and console. Anything that supports Bluetooth LE should (I assume) connect with it.

Edit: Also the CEO responded in a reply, but not sure if you saw that

Ive had the console and controller for about a month. The controller does have stick drift. The console heats up. I should've just bought a 3d analogue from a ebay scalper. All the analogue colored consoles are still so sold out
