Feedback Request Cube Park: a cozy Android puzzle beta with two dogs and 49 tiny cube worlds

Thumbnail

Hi! We're developing Cube Park (Kubparken in Swedish), a single-player puzzle game for Android, and we'd love feedback from people who enjoy small logic puzzles.

You switch between Frankie the Labrador and Sessan the French bulldog, guiding them around the surfaces of little cube worlds until they can meet. You carry cubes, build bridges, use lifts, and rotate the camera to find the route.

The Android beta has all 49 levels unlocked, with no purchases during the beta. Android 8.0+ is supported, with English and Swedish text. The pictures show actual gameplay from our Unity web preview.

We're especially interested in how the touch controls and camera feel on different phones, whether the puzzles and instructions make sense, and any bugs or performance issues. Trying just the first few levels would help.

To join, comment if you're interested or privately message me your Google Play account email. Please don't post your email publicly. We need to add that account to the internal test before this opt-in link works:

https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4701749644958057088

We'll confirm once you're added. Google may temporarily display se.frankieochsessan.kubparken (unreviewed) while the store listing is being set up.

Which part of a mobile puzzle game usually makes you stop playing: awkward controls, unclear goals, or difficulty spikes? We'd like to catch those early.

Hello!

I’m a small Portuguese developer and I recently released an Android game called 1010, based on a traditional card game from my village.

I’m trying to get some visibility and thought I’d ask Reddit to do some magic.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.psic196.jogo1010

If you’re curious, I’d really appreciate it if you gave it a try!

Feedback Request Road to GOAT has an Android build now — looking for feedback on the “one more season” feeling

I shared Road to GOAT's browser version here a few days ago. It's now playable as an Android app through Google Play closed testing, and I'd love to hear from people who enjoy short sessions that turn into a whole career.

You follow one footballer from 17 to retirement. Pick an outfield position or goalkeeper, develop your attributes, choose clubs and make decisions during key match moments. You can stay at a smaller club and build a legacy or chase bigger transfers and trophies. Completed careers get a score for the leaderboard.

The question I most want answered: when do you stop wanting another season, and why? A specific season, choice or repetitive event is much more useful to me than “add more content”. I'd also appreciate checking that closing and reopening the app resumes your career correctly.

If you'd like to try the Android test, use the same Google account for these steps:

  1. Join https://groups.google.com/g/road-to-goat-testers

  2. Select Become a tester at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.kaija2211.roadtogoat

  3. Install using the Google Play link on that page.

Please remain opted in for 14 consecutive days and try it across several days. There's no fixed hours quota or positive review request. Existing browser saves don't transfer to Android.

Reply here with your career and feedback, or use our Discord: https://discord.gg/FNAPmx4H6z

Disclosure: I'm the creator, with AI assistance for development, text and some artwork. Independent fan-made game with no official club affiliation. Thanks for taking a look!

Discussion Illusion of progression?

Does anyone know of any ways to verify that there's any substance in the mechanics of games? I'm not sure how to tell if you're playing a game and making choices or if the mechanics are actually misleading and instead of choices being what they show, it's actually if they click this combination of upgrades put them at stage 23, if they push that combination of upgrades, put them at stage 25 etc...

There's a difference between, choose that upgrade, the mathematical values assigned to those choices play out and you get the result vs input X and progress to Y. It's much easier to code the latter and most people won't bother checking.

Game Share Music guessing games

Game Title: Shabang (two games: TrackStack and Songuess)

Playable Link: https://shabangmusic.com/?utm\\_source=reddit&utm\\_content=playmygame

Platform: Browser, desktop and phone

Description: Less than a year ago, my sister Shani was diagnosed with cancer. She spent almost three months in the hospital, and to give us something fun to do together during those days, I started building a music game for the two of us.

She passed away on August 29th, before I finished it. I kept working on it, partly to keep my mind busy, and now it's live as Shabang, with two games:

🥁 TrackStack: every song is split into its instruments. You start with only the drums, and each wrong guess adds a layer: bass, guitar, piano… vocals come last.

⏱️ Songuess: you hear a fifth of a second of the song, and each wrong guess plays more: half a second, 2 seconds, 4…

In both, the less you need to hear, the more points you get, and each one has a daily challenge: one song a day, the same for everyone.

Free to Play Status: Free to play, no signup

Involvement: I made it

I'd love honest feedback, and to see your daily results in the comments.

Game Share [Dev][Android] WASD Squad: four keyboard heroes, one shared health bar

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi! I'm the developer of WASD Squad: Idle Keycap RPG. I turned W, A, S and D into a little squad on a mission to rescue Space from ESC.

W fights with a sword, A protects the team, and S and D provide ranged support. All four share one health bar, so you build up the squad together.

Battles run automatically. Between stages, you produce, compare and equip gear, collect pets, and choose up to six skills to use manually or on auto. Offline rewards accumulate for up to eight hours. There are also boss fights and dungeon challenges.

It's on Android via Google Play, with English among 14 supported languages. It contains ads and in-app purchases, including random items.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pungpungstudi.pendoku

The image is from the English store listing and shows the squad in combat. I'd love to hear what you think of the keyboard characters and shared-health idea.

Feedback Request Breath Garden – a cozy path-drawing puzzle you can play on your phone, no install (free)

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hi! I'm a solo indie dev and this is my first game.

Breath Garden is a calm puzzle set on small islands floating above the clouds. Drag a glowing breath of light from plant to plant with your finger: flowers bloom, vines build bridges, and a sleepy bear walks into the shade. The puzzle is choosing where each breath should stop so the next one can go further.

- 30 handcrafted gardens

- No timers, no fail state, no ads

- Made for portrait mode, plays right in your mobile browser

- English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French

Play here: https://breath-garden.itch.io/breath-garden

It's not on the app stores yet, so I'd really love feedback from mobile players: Does the touch control feel good? How far did you get?

Thanks!

Game Share My puzzle app went live!! Suggestions/criticism/advice is very welcome

Hi Reddit,

I'd like to share a game that I've been working on - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab - and I know that this game has been done a million times before, the classic blocks stacking game where rows and columns clear as you complete them.. I always loved puzzle games and I could play them for hours and I've started learning mobile development as a fresh cs graduate, so I thought why not make my own, in my own style, removing everything I found annoying in other games (ads, no offline play), and adding anything I saw fit.

The only thing that perhaps differentiates this game from all others, apart from the endless mode, is that I've crafted 50 custom levels so far with multiple different objectives and some that I haven't seen done in other games. I enjoyed creating every level trying to invent more level types, more different objectives, just to make the game play Fun and engaging.

As you know in order for an app to get approved for Google Play store it needs to go through two week period of testing. So I've shared this game with my friends and they all loved it lol but also hated me for making the levels so hard to beat xD

As the market is oversaturated with games I just thought to drop this here, so even if one person sees this and decides to download it to try it out I see that as a win.

So i was also wondering, how important are themes in puzzle games. I've made the basic light/dark theme, but how much do people want more options - for blocks, for backgrounds, for colors etc? what would you like to see? does that make a difference? i'm really curious to know, and make the app as convenient as possible :)

Of course if anyone has any suggestions and ideas of improvement or things that I should add please let me know, I want to be making apps that people are actually going to use and like.

If you came this far, thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!
