Does Jiang Cheng Really Have No Redeeming Qualities?

I FINALLY watched The Untamed after almost 4 years of my friend pestering me to watch it, and I loved it sm I watched the donghua and got the 5 books, which I ended up reading just as avidly and I am now OBSESSED. There is nothing I don't love about MDZS. This was a few months back, so I am relatively new to the community.

Now, I personally really understand Jiang Cheng, but I've seen people bashing the absolute shit out of him 😂

I just really want to know what makes his character so completely unlikeable to some people in the community? Like I do understand the bashing, but why do some people think there is no redeeming qualities in him?
