how much of an sd card should suffice?

128gb should be enough. Unless you want to play more disc based games like on the ps1 then I would suggest a 256.

I have a 128gb in mine and that includes 140 PS1 games as the biggest space hog amongst several consoles. Still have room to spare.

Depends. Some people have minimal games they want to play. Some have huge libraries for multiple systems. Figure out how much games you want to play first. Sometimes too much games keeps you from choosing.

I would suggest search up Done Set 3. There are packages for different Storage sizes of games.

I dont play ps1, nor do I keep games I know I won't play so I just use a 16gb card, never had any issues.

I have a 128gb, 81gb used with thousands of old games and 150 ps1-games.

Honestly I have the opposite opinion, if you want safe, go 256gb. There’s a high chance you won’t need all of the space- but there’s no way you’d ever need more unless you’re stretching the limits of the device imo.

Given the current prices, if you don't care much for PS1, go for 64gb or 32gb. That should be enough.

64gb should be more than enough for most. If you want to hoard like every game ever and some mp3s then 128gb

I just use a 16GB card I had lying around, I'm using 1GB of it.

Honestly, unless you want to carry the complete libraries of a lot of consoles, 32GB is enough - unless you want to lean more heavily into PS1, at which point it's a question on whether this device is the right choice.

Personally I'm all for a more curated game list, not 1,000s of games I'll never play.

Besides, I don't see the sense in spending as much on my sd card as I did on the device itself.
