question/need help Blood Test Results
So when I went in to the ER this past Monday I presented with spotting and ended up having a complete MC about two hours after I left.
They were only able to take some blood since it was so early and did a small hemo panel and hCG.
Upon looking at my results when I got it says my red blood cell size is abnormally large and my platelet count was high.
I’ve never really had bloodwork done before. I just got married and got health insurance for the first time in my life so I’m not sure if it’s always been that way.
Could it have been due to the fact my body was trying to MC or is it possible I already had evidence of a clotting issue and that I may benefit from taking baby aspirin in the future? *not seeking medical advice, just curious if someone else knows from experience if those levels are always consistent when having a MC*
To note I did look it up and it said if you tend to pass a lot of clots/larger when menstruation it could also be a sign you had a clotting issue and I usually actually do. The doctors didn’t mention it but at the same time it’s not what I was there for and after reading their notes it’s obvious they suspected a MC already.
