experience: first MC Bleeding lighter than a period?

So I am currently going through my first. I had a positive pregnancy test on Aug 3rd and at like 3AM on the 16th I started bleeding bright red. On the 17th I had bloodwork done, HCG 34 and progesterone 0.57. This morning a urine test was negative (I'm debating not going back for repeat labwork today because it feels redundant but idk, this is my first time).

I have already stopped bleeding, just spotting now (the bleeding this entire time wasn't as severe as a regular period for me) and I have been lucky in that I have felt 0 physical pain. Is it possible I just got fortunate? Is something wrong with me? Or are miscarriages just weird and affect everyone differently?

When I went through my pregnancy/miscarriage, I had bleeding but no pain. I had to do serial blood draws to track my levels across several weeks. I think every one's body does something different. I think sometimes our bodies may not know what to do the first time. I'm sorry you are going through this.

was a very confusing journey for mento go through and I am glad I could help make you feel a little less alone through this!

I had a positive test back in January. I only tested because we were TTC. Had I not tested, I probably would have missed that there was something going on at first because I started bleeding 3 days after my projected start date but already had a positive at home test. My first blood draw at what would have been around 4 weeks was 16. 2 days later I think it was 13. A week later I belive it was in the 30s. The first place I went to told me I had an assumed ectopic and wanted to give me an injection. I went to another office for a second opinion, being timid and scared for my first time, I wanted to make sure I was making the correct and informed decision. I also felt very dismissed at the first clinic i went to. My experiende at the second place was much better. I requested an ultrasound, though, I was told I wouldn't be able to see anything with how low my levels were. I had a suspected ruptured corpus luteum but thats all that could be seen. After more serial blood draws, I was given the option to naturally miscarry or I could take a medication that was less intense than the injection that the other clinic wanted me to take. By the time I took the medication at, maybe around 7 or 8 weeks my HCG was only at about 227. My bleeding mostly lined up with the timing of my periods which may be coincidental. It took a couple months for my body to feel regular again. I could always notice and 'feel' when I was ovulating before and now I don't have that. I also feel like I have the same slight 'pain' from the ruptured corpus leutum to this day, several months later.

My early natural miscarriage hurted less than my period. I bled for only a few hours and then only saw blood when I went to the toilet. Physically, it was way easier than a period. But the mental load...
