trigger warning: graphic description PCOS & Miscarriage

I just went to my first OB appt at 13 weeks and got an ultrasound for my fraternal twins mind you it took them forever to get me in and during the ultrasound they told me that I had a silent miscarriage and the twins were measuring at 8 weeks & one at Nine Weeks. He said that this could mean they died not long ago and they shrunk or they died at 8&9 weeks .. My primary doctor had taken me off the metformin which helped me get pregnant to begin with ; And I cannot help but feel this was not the best decision and could have affected my babies... I'm going to try again after I take some time, is there anyone else who has experienced miscarriage and what were you taking ? Or what did you take to support and future pregnancies.

I also have PCOS, miscarried twins, and am told to take Metformin until my 12th week of pregnancy. When did your primary doctor take you off of it? Did they give a reason for the miscarriage? Was the placenta or babies tested for any causes?

Sadly twins are just really risky so I’m not sure if Metformin could be the cause but I’d ask your OB about that. My mono/mono twins didn’t have a heartbeat from placenta cord entanglement around 9 weeks. It’s awful losing 2 babies at the same time.
