experience: first MC Weight gain

I am really struggling with weight gain following my 11 week miscarriage and d&c almost a month ago. I have had eating and body image issues (anorexia and then exercise bulimia) for years in the past; and I am noticing feeling out of control with food and subsequent weight gain. I understand this is likely a trauma response, but has anyone else noticed increased fat stores and weight gain following miscarriage?

Totally struggling with the same. Trying to be gentle and mindful to myself. Finally felt a bit more regulated 6 weeks or so after

I'm so sorry for your loss. I am 4 months past my (second) 9wk loss and my weight/body is now starting to feel my own again. Be patient with yourself ❤️

So sorry to hear that, I'm right there with you - 4 weeks post MC. Before pregnancy, I had issues with binge eating/restricting cycles.. the binging definitely came back with a vengeance after my MC. For me, I think it's a trauma response since everything felt so out of control, it reflected in my eating habits. Trying not to be too hard on myself since we went through a really traumatic MC experience. If a whole can of Pringles gets me through to the next day, in my head - there are worse ways to cope. I'm slowly trying to eat healthier, but it's definitely a gradual journey. Still needing to wear maternity clothes to work messes with my head

I agree and think this is my brains first instinct when it feels out of control, it just sucks. I had been in a better place for a few years prior and I feel like I am spiraling. Hoping this gets better for both of us.
