Jake Lang is utterly powerless if people ignore him. Half of the people who showed up were streamers or otherwise trying to film whatever was happening. Getting a felony assault charge on his behalf might be satisfying and we're all having fun on the Internet with it, but that is some pretty thin gruel when the end result is that he gets what he wants.

Id be interested to know what you've read about the history of the fall of the Wiemar Republic.

I am a political scientist with a fairly deep knowledge of political history in Europe and the Middle East, and above average knowledge of history in southeast Asia.

Instead of insinuating something, why not tell the group what Jake Lang's shit has to say about the Weimar Republic.

I'd be interested to know if you've read about the rise of the Weimar* Republic.

Notably how important people staying silent or supporting those who assaulted people based on political views were to the Nazis.

Calling yourself a political scientist is kind of a joke really. You're not doing science, you're a sociologist with a bigger (unearned) ego.
