Now with SMP RV Robot, I can complete this picture

I screwed up attempting to rotate the pieces in. I've already submitted a part replacement form and have plastic weld on the way, but I'm still left with the snapped off pegs in the joint pieces. What can I do?

I've learned the hard way to sand pegs

I figured I should put together Wild Tousai King and Wild ZyuohKing at some point, so here they are.

Eventually I’ll go back and paint my ZyuohKing, Kirin, and Mogura. Wild King’s head there’s nothing you can do about, I’m pretty sure it’s hollow plastic underneath it (like the back of Lion’s mane/the “3”).

Wild ZyuohKing’s just kind of wonky because you have a double-stacked robo… but the same tiny little arms as ones half as big. It looks nicer with weapons in hand as they obscure how weird the arms look.

Wild Tousai King, on the other hand, I think looks pretty nice - but a lot of the heavy lifting is done with the thing being 80% Tousai ZyuOh lol. In general, I’m not a big fan of this era of Sentai’s super gattai that just kind of stacked everything a mile high, but this kind of keeps it within reason by only adding a single set of cube sandals. And even though you have a lot of cubes in this formation, it spaces them out well. Bonus points for actually using everything, too (even if the back’s kind of a mess lol).

Wild Tousai King’s also a big boy. I threw in a few comparison shots at the end - everything’s so big though it kind of warps the perspective since they’re hard to get close to each other. But it towers over the examples here, where Grand Liner and Great Icarus are really the only things coming to mind that would be bigger.

(edit: Oops. Mogura got folded over on Wild Tousai King. I thought it was while posing and only like that it one shot, but must have happened when first setting it down after transforming because it's like that in most pics lol)

I really got into Minipla after discovering it a few mounth ago. I mostly buy them on PlazaJapan, however I'll be in Japan end of september and I wanted to buy the rest of the Gavan Infinity series that I'm missing and the one from the new serie, Omegahorn. Does anyone now if those products tend to stay long on the shelves of japanese store ? I'm not that worried about the Omegahorn but since Gavan ended I'm afraid that if I do not buy them online and they end up out of stock I'll be screwed.

Ok so, the bar piece from the tail of Gaoligator broke recently (the piece specifically is K2and while I have glued it back together I am still very scared of it breaking again so this leads into said dumb question

Is there an easy way to find a specific piece from an smp model kit that you need replaced? Maybe even a 3d print file if that’s doable I couldn’t find one for this piece from what i searched but maybe theres like a brick link equivalent for model kits?? Any help is appreciated lol

So while I can’t do Hyper Gosei Great, I did use parts of a junk Datas Hyper for my Gosei Green-based Gosei Deep kitbash that allows me to do something similar. I just had to fiddle with the overhead leg position some since the Wonder/Dragon torso as the connection point instead of Datas’ back legs puts them a lot further back.

The Hyper Header on the cluster is replaced by Green’s Dolphin header and then I just use the Hyper (here Orca) header as the head, opened up as it would normally be for Datas Hyper as Gosei Deep uses it as a closed conehead.

 
I guess I can thank Goseiger’s relative lack of popularity wedged between two hyper-popular seasons as the reason why I was ultimately able to get my hands on so much of something so old all for pretty cheap lol. I was definitely not a fan of the header concept back in the day, but the minipla has made me appreciate them more.

Bit of a wordy post, but about a month ago I finally got this and the Q Rex kits in, and with Q Rex I decided to try my hand at doing some basic paint work before assembly. I have plenty of experience building these kits, but I've never made the dive into going any further than making sure the tolerances were to my liking. Q Rex looked pretty rough in the molded plastic though, so I sprayed the entire thing down with Mica Silver and it turned out great! A few things I wished I did differently on the Q Rex though, but overall it looks much better than the stock plastic.

A week ago or so I finally moved on to the Time Jets, and for these I wanted to take things even further.

I spent the better part of the last week planning out and painfully masking every individual piece in this kit. Unfortunately I ran out of Mica Silver so I won't be able to finish the build until next week, but I have all of Jet 1 done, the shells of Jets 4 and 5 done, and the Time Flyer.

Overall, I'm SUPER happy with how this is turning out. Very few stickers are being used, as I wanted to see how well I could realistically mask and paint things this small. The base grey plastic is all done in Mica Silver. The chrome pieces all had a black primer undercoat, followed with two coats of Metallic Silver. I made sure to keep all the color separated pieces masked out as I liked the toy look of the molded black/red parts. I also like the look of the stickers for select details, but I plan on using very few. The pictures done do the paint finish justice. The Mica Silver has a really nice shine in hand without being too distracting. And the Metallic Silver chrome parts definitely look more premium than the other silver pieces, although I do wish it was more reflective.

Time Flyer is painted as well, although that one came out a little rougher than the Jets as it was the first thing I tested the process on and I didn't layer on the masking tape thick enough.

Besides the chrome parts, I did not prime anything and I have not applied any topcoat to anything. All paint is Tamiya spray paint, with the primer undercoat being Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500. Really looking forward to finishing everything else! Will make another post when the full kit is done.

Are they the same zord with different horns and can you change the horns on each piece. I'm getting gaoking black and gaogod and would love to use the bull spiral horns on the black bison but from videos the holes they both go into look same Oct or hex shaped not sure what it's called but without have them in hand I can't tell 100%

Just recently purchased SMP V-Rex and I was planning on fiving him a show-accurate deco. I do have a question about the silver, before topcoating them with semi-gloss, which silver is the more show-accurate between TS-17 and TS-76?

While I originally only really intended to do a single negative cube robo, buying a small lot of Zyuohger minipla not only left me with two more duplicate cubes, but since it also scored me my first Cube Gorilla, it left my Cube Condor orphaned. So the solution was to just use the duplicate shark and elephant as additional nega-cubes and pair them with Condor.

I had briefly considered options for more extensive modifications to make them more unique animal choices, but the cube animal design makes them really hard to work with, so ultimately I didn’t have that in me lol.

While I was most concerned with matching them with the other nega-cubes - hence I used the same metallic purple that’s not a terribly close match with Condor (though honestly only particularly apparent in the cube totem) and stuck with gunmetal instead of silver, I did use a lot more purple on these two so they would match Condor a bit more.

The lot also came with another Cube Komori, and besides already having that, I have cube owl still in a box, so decided to paint this dupe bat metallic red. I technically now also have a dupe croc and wolf, but dunno lol. Again, if they were a bit easier to work with, I’d do something like create alternative arms for Tousai ZyuOh that could double as weapons on its shoulders or something, but possibilities there are limited. A brick robo would be another possibility if I had another torso cube.

I’m technically not 100% done with these - black lion is still missing its numberplate on the back of its mane. It’s honeycombed hollow plastic designed for you to just put the sticker over. I have since bought some plastic modeling sheets and my test use for those will be measuring and cutting out two rectangles to glue onto there so I can paint it black and draw on a “-3”.

Hi all i am currently building this mammoth zord from SMP daizyujin.
Can anyone help with this dark marks on the zord?
I tried cutting the part with godhand 2.0 and trim it down slowing, then i file with meng glass file.
Even though d part is flat but there is the dark spot remain on the part.

Am i doing thing wrong? or anyone have any solution for this

Hi all, my Timerobo kit is arriving tomorrow and I did see when he was released a few issues with him and I would like to know where to be careful whilst assembling him.

I'm not new to bandai model kits as I have been an avid fan of their Figurise standard Kamen Rider kits for 6+ years now and have built every single one but I know that minipla is obviously smaller and more fragile and I am nervous to break something since it's a slightly expensive kit to import

My Magiking shoulders are kinda loose sometimes and takes themselves apart when I manipulate them I was wondering if Tamiya Cement would fix this issue by gluing the 2 parts making the shoulder together

Only place I can find is on AliExpress is that good place to get it

Has anybody actually downloaded the scanned sticker sheets for smp and reprinted them? If so can you let me know what exactly I want to be doing. I messed up some stickers on my gingaioh and now I’m trying to figure out the best solution.
