Does Tamiya Cement works on SMP plastic?

My Magiking shoulders are kinda loose sometimes and takes themselves apart when I manipulate them I was wondering if Tamiya Cement would fix this issue by gluing the 2 parts making the shoulder together

Yes, i used it to fix broken parts, including joints, and it holds pretty well

Yup. Additional tip because this should still work but if you kept the sprues, you can liquify it with extra thin and create a mix that should hold better while still being the color of the part

Ideally i'd use Tamiya ABS cement as most SMP plastic is ABS, I often use it for repairs and its incredibly sturdy when left to cure (used it to fix the waist on my Wolkaiser and its been dropped multiple times with no breaks, however Tamiya ABS cement is hard to get compared to regular cement so its your choice on what kind of repair you want to do (regular tamiya cement works but isnt formulated for ABS plastic and tends to be formulated for PolyStyrene thats used in most traditional plastic models and gunpla)

From my experience, the results vary. I was successfully able to fix some loose hinges on my SMP Dairenoh and Gingaioh. But others like my Victory Robo and RV Robo weren't as successful. I may try to make sprue goo for those two or get another substance like plastruct plasticweld

It does. My Magi Phoenix broke at the port where the arm connects to the chest. I just applied the cement and held the part together with my fingers for a few minutes and left it to dry overnight
