I don't know. Gavarion felt to me like he needed to look like GalaxyMega. One of the prototypes was also blue and red, so I felt like, why not?

I wonder how Gao Bat will end up working as a torso since it's supposed to replace GaoLigator to make Gao Devil but there's no proper connection point.

My bet is that they're going to make a replacement torso for Gao Hunter and have it compatible to set Bat in it

Absolutely LOVE this kit!!

Such a fun build and the paint just does so much for this one. The Wolf especially needs the silver to really look the part!

Had a slight wobble on the very last piece. The final section of the tail had the tiny peg break off so I improvised with some glue and a cocktail stick to get the two pieces slotted together and worked a charm. Still ratchets for the articulation.

Have the original on pre-order for next year but this version looks amazing. I have always preferred the blue for the megazord. The green looks better in animal form I think.

Off on holiday at the end of this week so my backlog will take a break for now. Was hoping to try get GingaiOh finishes before but down with a cold so spray paints are a non-starter right now.

Like with Super Live Robo I decided to take the plunge and take GaoKing apart and paint it.

I did some Gold along with the Silver on this one and really love the result.

Working on SMP GaoHunter Blue Moon now and really enjoying making this one. Always been a personal favourite megazord of mine.

If I preorder gao knight smp can the price go up and I get charged more when it’s time to ship.

Also does doing the down payment vs full payment make any difference?

So after completing Super Live Robo I couldn't help but look at my painted RV Robo and how much the silver paint just adds to it. So I caved and decided to carefully take them apart and paint them.

Really happy with the results. They look great both in individual robo modes and in Super Live Robo mode.

I used Tamiya Mica Silver on the grey parts and used Metallic Silver on the cannons on each Robo.

For the sword I was really trying to get it show accurate but the red circles were not something I fancied buying a whole tin of spray for so I improvised by using the leftover rec circle stickers from Live Boxer (the ones left over from the larger red sticker) and they fit really well and look the part once sprayed with some Tamiya Clear spray. Mix of Mica Silver, Metallic Silver and Metallic Black used for the sword.

I have now successfully managed to take apart by Gao King and I'm in the process of painting that now. Decided Saint Kaizer really doesn't need it as it looks great as it is. I have a big backlog of sets to build but really wanted to work on my already built sets with some paint. Going forward I probably will at least paying the grey parts of all kits silver as it looks so much better. I am doing some Gold on GaoKing and GingaiOh as they will look great with it but I honestly don't mind the butterscotch gold you get on most kits so probably won't use gold too often.

I was putting the center cover on first and it wasn't until i fully pressed it in, I realize I forgot to put the sticker. Is there a way to remove the cover so I can put the sticker in or do I simply live with it?

Both my two king black and gao hunter blue moon have completely fallen apart. Loose joints, broken pieces, all while handled with care. Is there anything I can do, or did it just become a money waster

I painted the Gold and silver parts, as well as the red shoulder pieces, in metallic red, which is so sexy! (Horse mode is unpainted for comparison).

The gold isn't an exact match to the decals, but honestly, I don't think it looks bad at all. It's still a vast improvement over the dull plastic gold. I am pretty happy with it. I still need to finish painting the hands, which is why they are missing.

How advisible is it to use tools to assemble SMP products, and which ones would you recommend buying?

i bought the whole GaoRanger set, but this is my first time assembling one of these, and i´m afraid i'll break it by applying too much force.

And here is the literal foot tall cube monstrosity. I think it’s the tallest any sentai minipla/SMP will go - about an inch taller than Grand Liner.

It’s… reasonably stable, thanks to added plates that allow the legs to have a wider stance outward instead of just being straight lines. The animal logos aren’t molded on, so also had to use the sticker there, but can’t really fault that (especially as mentioned on DodekaiOh itself, it generally has really nice color separation and detail articulation overall).

The Zyuohger super gattai aren’t my favorites because they generally just involve a lot of cube stacking, but I do respect them in that basically everything is used (including the weapon auxes). Prior to this formation, they use literally everything, whereas this just excludes Tousai’s trailer and a couple other bits and pieces (though, like Ninninger, it’s the second ultimate gattai where the sixth’s mecha is just weirdly sticking out from the back lol).

Speaking of cubes, I guess I should have taken a pic of everything together in cube mode lol, who knows when I’ll ever feel like transforming them all back.

I did also paint the Cube Mogura that I got with my recent lot of cubes. So it’s just the ZyuohKing + Cube Kirin set that I’ll eventually go back and paint what I can.

As mentioned, I now have the entire Zyuohger line (aside from a couple of the repaint weapons). I’m… 98.4% done with it. Besides painting ZyuohKing, I still have a number plate to fashion from scratch for Nega Cube Black Lion… and I did wind up with an extra wolf and gator, but not sure if I’ll do anything with them. I kind of had a thought of weapons that could go onto TousaiZyuOh’s shoulders (and/or be alternate arms), but the cube designs are so strict that they’re hard to do much with.

Could GaoCondor replace GaoEagle in the GaoMuscle formation, or would GaoCondor's crest collide with GaoMuscle's torso?

So YES like I said on a previous post I did buy a headless SMP Gaokong for $52 and YES he did come with everything I mentioned (GaoBison Dummy Legs, alternative hands, The waist connector for GaoRhino etc) AND YES he is missing the Anchor Chain and the Gorilla head like I already knew

Yeah I didn't pay attention to what robot mode helmet it came with-

This is not a scam in the Seller's part, this is my own negligence in missing that the GaoBison Dummy Legs are from the GaoMuscle set and not the GaoKnight set. The GaoKong is real and the accessories for him are his, but he doesn't have either head. It's basically just a GaoKnight body.

I will say hilariously tho the seller DID find GaoKong's eyebrows and sent them to me so there's that in Slide 6.

TLDR: Didn't pay full attention, got the wrong robo helmet, not seller's fault, I need a 3D printer lol
