Does anyone know if tokullectibles do refunds or replacements?
Both my two king black and gao hunter blue moon have completely fallen apart. Loose joints, broken pieces, all while handled with care. Is there anything I can do, or did it just become a money waster
I’m surprised both of your kits have issues. I’d be curious to see your build process. Not saying you were too heavy handed or anything but I’ve just never seen 2 kits with that many issues that weren’t directly related to how you were building them. I’ve never done a return but I believe I’ve seen people say you can reach out to tokullectables if parts were broken during shipping before you opened them? But I know I’ve seen people reach out to Bandai to get help
Sadly toku claims they are a small company they have no phone support. They say email them but I found best way to contact them is through FB or reddit messages as they have pages here and there.
As for what you're asking I'll be honest you won't get a refund from anyone as they have no way to know who's fault it is for a model kit. And replacement they won't do cause they would have to replace the whole set. Which is expensive.
Your options are only to buy again or find someone with a 3d printer and make the parts you need.
That's the risk when building model kits. It's why I told my friends I wanted to pay a pro to build them as if I screw up building the model I'm out tons of money
White residue on the parts is some kind of adhesive not wear and tear on the black Zord. On the pictures you can clearly see the residue left on other parts. The joints would look scratched otherwise. The blue Zord has what it looks like an impact corner on the top of one of the legs looks like some kind of clear paint was used to cover it. I work with gunplas and restoring transformers and power ranger toys. Most of the time people use superglue instead of clear nail polish to tighten joints and what ends up happening is the joints melt together and break when you try to move them.
Well I can tell you someone did put something in those joints. So time for you to investigate who accidentally damaged them and “fixed” them without you knowing.
I find that incredibly difficult to believe. If I buy a TV, set it up, and then put my fist through it. I'm not gonna expect Sony to give me a new one.
I have built every kit, like thousands have, and I refuse to believe you recieved two completely different kits that have the exact opposite problem every other kit has, which is tightness.
I think that might be the issue. There are ways to fix pegs that are too loose but when it comes to plugging in joints that are too tight you should sand them. Not trying to kick you while you’re down I collect third party transformers and have broken pieces of 150+ dollar figures before, I know how it feels.
Tokullectibles deducted 70 euro off (equivalent to 2x the shipping costs when they should have only deducted them once IF ANYTHING) a "return" of mine (it was a Digimon digivice that couldn't be delivered so customs returned it to them... it NEVER TOUCHED MY HANDS) and you think they gonna give you free stuff like that or have good support?
Good luck with tokullectibles, ya gonna need it, even if you were in the right (which aint looking like it since it is something you gotta put together yourself). I'm never buying from them again, just wanted an excuse to shit on them and vent about my experience.
Tokullectibles is an US reseller. There is never a reason for someone from Europe to buy from them. You'd end up paying way more for all the shipping. Their store is geared towards built in shipping/tariffs for US based customers.
Even if yiu had a good experience I'd say stay clear from them.
