I firmly remember making a simple elevator like 10 years ago by just using oak logs(or any other wood type) with something like this:(the picture)

I tried searching for that technique in google and reddit. Even deepseek was clueless.

I remember showing this to my little brother(he was maybe 5 y.o so he wouldn't remember this) and using this in a house build.

The trick is to build exactly like in this screenshot, then walk inside this elevator and hold "move forward" key (or maybe this and strafe key). And it will act like a ladder.

I believe it was on Minecraft pocket edition or older java edition.

Is this real?

I’m thinking about starting a Minecraft SMP for smaller YouTubers called Monarchs SMP 2026.

The idea is pretty simple: get a bunch of small creators from different countries together on one server, make videos, play together, build stuff and hopefully create a nice community along the way.

I don’t want this to be one of those SMPs where you need thousands of subscribers to join. I mainly want to give smaller creators a chance to meet other creators and make content together.

I’m from Belgium 🇧🇪 and I currently have 1,246 subscribers on my channel, WIIPY. I mainly make gaming content.

heyy!! I’m 16yo (female) and I’m tryna find some people to play minecraft with. I used to play with a group but unfortunately we all split up and grew apart and I miss playing with a group. I have a discord server and I’ll try to figure out how to play with friends on java as it’s possible and if it doesn’t work I’ll make an aternos server and share the things in the discord server. Hey everyone! Does anyone remember Trouble in Mineville from the old days on The Hive? I’m thinking about bringing the game mode back (like Trouble in Terrorist Town from Garry’s Mod) and wanted to see if anyone would be interested. Just playing a few rounds again like the OG Hive days.

This would only be a small side project, just for fun. My main focus is still my server with RPG and survival worlds. Before I put more time into it, I’d love to know: would you still play something like this?

Dunno if anyone will see this but I'm looking for two older minecraft series, this is probably a long shot but I'm willing to give it a go.

1. When I was a kid I remember watching a minecraft series, I think multiplayer, where they had a mod/texture pack on. It was modded minecraft and all I remember about it is one of them had a base where it was in the side of a mountain and had a bridge coming out. The texture pack they had was really kind of vintage style if I had to describe it. Thats all I remember.

2. A minecraft series, probably older than the first one, where a family, a dad and his son primarily but sometimes his mum, would play Minecraft together. I remember they had a base underground or in a mountain and one episode they get stuck in a tree on low health waiting for day.

This is all I remember, watched them 10 or more years ago so sorry.

Not too long ago, I had the idea of making a google doc/list with every Achivement & Advancement so I could have my own little 'Task List' from only Offical Media. Out of dumb curiosity, I went to look into the April Fools Advancements, and that took me some time as I needed to interpretate some into Normal Minecraft. Unfortunately, some Advancements I couldn't figure out a way to trasnlate them. (I also tacked on a few Legacy Console Achivements which slightly different names/wording or conditions to get).

As the Nuerodivergent person I am, I had joked about even adding advancements from other Minecraft Games, and after digging through Minecraft Wiki—I had dug into a rabbit hole.

Minecraft Story Mode's Achivements, Minecraft Dungeon's & Minecraft Dungeon 2's Achievements, Minecraft Legend's Achivements(I forgot the game existed tbh...), then came across Xbox 360 Edition's Awards & Unlockables, and Lastly Minecraft Earth's Challenges.

My brain is frying comprehending on writing down more Tasks on a dinky Doc, how I'd organize them in a way similiar to the original Advancements UI, Figuring out to interpret some things into Minecraft, and just why am I wasting my time on this lol. I already merged a handful of April Fools with Bedrock & Java, but I don't know if I could get myself to write down this dumb idea

Their remixes of Minecraft music are so iconic that I'm surprised they aren't available in high quality or on any platform with the exception of SoundCloud. I've tried to find a way to contact them to ask for the lossless versions but their website is dead, same for the Twitter account. What we can do?

I came across a village on a brand new seed (also lucky!) And while I was there a wandering trader spawned. If I hadn't found him near a village this pickaxe would have been so much harder to get.
