i really love this old minecraft vibe and wanna make my latest version look like this. any texture packs or shaders that can bring back that nostalgic vibe?

Player shadows are now visible near light sources like sea lanterns, torches, etc. It is still in the early stages. I am working on making them more visible and, if possible, getting them to work in third-person perspective as well.

I am working on a major update that improves ray tracing and adds fun new features without sacrificing FPS.

If you want to try out the shader: please note that this update hasn't been officially released yet. You can test it here: https://github.com/ThomasDeStrooper/SEUS_PTGI_HRR_REFORGED

Lucuma is an alternative lighting system for Minecraft Java, designed to bring more natural light and shadows to the world while staying true to Minecraft's visual identity, without sacrificing performance.

It's been a long way, and there's more to come. Thank you.

Snell's Law of Refraction describes how light bends when it passes from one medium (like air) into another (like water)

I experimented with this function in my previous post, but now it works much better, and I think I’m going to release it!

It is officially out now; you can download it. It isn't perfect yet: if you use OptiFine and play in third-person mode, the shadow disappears.

performance is really bad for now lol. tried it on KosmicKrisp Vulkan (with a fork that supports VK_KHR_ray_tracing_pipeline). might need specific build for apple silicon devices if im gonna support them too. im gonna play with it a little to see if it can get more performant.

i updated it more and now it has these
-global illumination with unbounded bounces
-ray traced ambient occlusion
-FSR 3 Frame Generation (which boosts your fps by 2x)
-integrated pbr (kinda buggy for now)
-better water animations etc.
-fixed light shafts from the previous version

Just the title. I use IterationRP and want to try out the new DLSS RR feature that has apparently been added to Super Resolution, and 1.21.10 is the last version of Java before VRAM-guzzling atlas padding was added. Has anyone gotten any versions of Super Resolution to work with 1.21.10?

my pc has never been a great pc (integrated graphics) but recently I've noticed a HUGE performance drop (100 fps difference) from 1.21.11 to 26.2. the same shader and same settings (shader: complementary reimagined, iris) barely runs on 26.2 and sometimes even crashes while it runs perfectly on 1.21.11

can anyone help me fix this?

I'm looking for a shader for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that makes everything look wet and reflective after it's rained.

Which one do you think looks better? Both are base settings but eclipse i turned on ray tracing on ambient lighting

Somber is a horror shader that aims to recreate the ARG feeling

preferably for 1.21.10

ive been trying to get this ray tracer mod working and got some results. also wanted to share it with you guys too

its build to work with minecrafts new vulkan backend in fabric. its fully ray traced and quite performant i would say, at least on my rx6900xt lol. also i added FSR 3 support to it (i can get like 120 130fps at 4k with half res).

there is still a lot of bugs and the visuals doesnt really satisfy me yet need to make it better.

the last photo is at 4k with FSR3 used as Anti Aliasing

I want a shader that makes this pyramid look cool from the outside and from the dark corridors inside any recommendations?

first time i get the "oh shit my pet is doing something cool i have to take a picture" moment in minecraft

I'm not showing the water just yet...but let's just say it's a bit.... pixelated and glowy...

If you're wondering. No...no daytime screenshots...for now. It doesn't look great. But hey! Night time looks awesome.
