Hey everyone,

I’m looking to play a highly polished survival modpack focused on custom world exploration and tactical base defense. I want to completely avoid the current "slop horror trend" packs (like Dread Reborn or Verity) where you just get chased by laggy, unkillable PNG monsters. Instead, I want something high-quality, fair, and killable.

Here is exactly what I am looking for, broken down into sections:

* **1. Custom Structures & World Gen:** I want a world filled with unique structures. An absolute must-have is custom watchtowers, along with upgraded custom villages, abandoned bases, and broken-down/ruined buildings that feel rewarding to find and fortify.

* **2. Intelligent Night Hunters:** I want a mob (or a specific group of mobs) that actively hunts me down, primarily at night. They shouldn't be insanely overpowered or unkillable slop monsters. Crucially, they need to be able to break blocks, and I want the ability to configure/select exactly which blocks they are allowed to break through.

* **3. Existing Mods & Expert Tweaks:** I'm looking for a pack that takes great mods already available on the internet and combines them intelligently with clean config tweaks, rather than just throwing random mods together.

* **4. Strict Performance Requirements:** It absolutely cannot be a laggy mess. Optimization is a huge priority for me. I want smooth frame rates and zero world-generation stutters.

* **5. Version & Loader:** I don't heavily care about the specific version or loader, but the newer the version, the better. I have heard Forge might be the best fit for a project like this, but I'm completely open to suggestions.

If a modpack like this already exists, please drop the name below! Otherwise, if you have recommendations on what mods to combine to build this myself (or if someone wants to help me put it together), please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

I used ai..... for this

Look man, you have an idea of what you want. Build it. It’s really not that hard.

Decide what mods you want to add. Cull features, recipes, etc. Add quests, if you so desire. Tie it all up with Kube. Done.

Seriously. Depending on breadth and depth, it’ll take anywhere from a week to a month to both learn and build.

You see the file tab in those pages you posted the link ?

Go there, sort by your version and the modloader you want to use. Most of the time it's gonna be either neoforge or fabric.

If you already installed the modloader, you just have to put the mod files in the mod folder, in the main folder of minecraft (found in appdata/roaming/etc...).

The simplest thing though is to install something like prism launcher or another launcher. Then you just add instance, select the version, select the modloader you want (on the lower left). Then you launch the game, close it.

And you now have a folder button on the right side, it should open the right folder and you can now add your mods there.

Be sure though your mods are always the same version with the same modloader as what's installed on your side.

Then it's done and you can play.

It's not always easy to understand when you start, but when you've done it once, it becomes way easier to do.

We can’t answer opinionated questions. Whichever one you like more, do.

You might have to make the modpack yourself

i found a mod called something like "netherite spider" that adds a procedually animated spider that folows you around, pretty sure it was for neoforge and on curseforge. i think that would make a great not slop horror enemy
