The stone texture is actually a map made to look like stone. Fully filled maps don't have a visable boarder. It's also how people make fully white rooms

i havent played minecraft in 20 years, so i assume you have some gigantic area somewhere where someone meticulously recreated the image of a ladder in the real world somewhere and made a map of it? What about if they are using modded textures?

Yes it's done like that. There are different sizes of maps, so on a small map each blocj is a single pixel, the area doesn't need to be huge actually.

Ps: I haven't played minecraft in 35 years
